Charming B&B tucked away in a beautiful, peaceful, riverside setting. Accommodating, friendly hosts welcomed me warmly and anticipated every want or need. Gorgeous outdoor spaces and views, beautifully decorated and immaculate rooms, and truly scrumptious breakfast. I strongly recommend adding this gem to your getaway list!

Beautiful setting, beautiful inn, super friendly and kind hosts. Very clean and amazing breakfasts! Great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Love they have games and books available so we didn't have to pack our own. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

We stayed at the Bird & Butterfly for one night, on our way from New Orleans to Dallas. From booking through to saying farewell, Mikelyn and Chuck did everything they could to make us feel welcome and well looked after. We had a great time at the house, as well as visiting the nearby lake and burger joint. Our room (Little White House) was self-contained with its own bathroom. Everything was of a very high quality and felt tastefully and thoughtfully put together. We couldn’t have asked for more from our stay and would recommend the Bird & Butterfly to anyone!

We went to Lake Sam Rayburn for a fishing tournament/business trip. We needed a place to stay near Overlook Park. We found the Bird and Butterflies and what a gem. We stayed on the 1901 cabin. So nice having coffee on the porch over looking the river in the morning. The breakfast was fabulous. We will definitely be back!

Found this inn on a Google search and it did not disappoint. What a great getaway for my wife and me. Chuck and Mikelyn could not have been better hosts and they truly care about each guest’s experience. Will recommend this to anyone looking for a getaway to SE Texas, and hopefully we will get to return in the future. Great breakfast too!

Amazing stay all around. We had a team that needed lodging in East Texas and we stayed here. We each had our own room and privacy. It couldn't have been better. And when our business was done for the day, we came back to our escape in the piney woods. It was amazing.

This is a beautiful and peaceful retreat on the Angelina River and just a few miles from Sam Rayburn reservoir. The grounds are amazing. They have a beautifully landscaped and soothing water feature, an outdoor kitchen and large fire pit. The extensive decking is perfect for a wedding or any event. The deck lighting at night is magical. We stayed in the 1901 cabin. It had all the comforts of home on the inside and spectacular view of the river on the outside. It had a full kitchen, all you need to bring is food. If cooking isn’t your thing, there’s a number of restaurants nearby in Jasper. Breakfast is a gourmet meal. You must try the creme brûlée French toast. Mikelyn and Chuck were gracious and attentive hosts. We’ll definitely will definitely be back!

We highly recommend a stay at Bird and Butterfly Inn! The hosts Mikelyn and Chuck are gracious and provide wonderful breakfasts in a beautiful setting. Our 1901 cabin was quiet and a fun experience to sit on the back porch with the beautiful Angelina River to entertain us. Love this lovely bed and breakfast and would be great for weddings and other special events.
