First let me compliment the entire staff for their friendliness and helpfulness including the front desk folks but especially the folks in the restaurant. They made our visit that much more enjoyable. My wife and I visited for a couple nights - enjoyed the facility, meals, and staff. We spent nearly a full day on the lake which was not crowded; peaceful with beautiful weather; couldn't have asked for a better trip! All in all, we will be back! Nicely remodeled rooms, beautiful grounds, and very nice staff!

Used to come here a lot but it's been a while and much has changed. Rooms don't seem like a lodge no more and didn't have a lot of furniture. Bar was not open very much. If you need something goodluck getting a hold of someone. Did tell about problems when we left and were given money back but that didn't help when we needed it. .

The park itself is absolutely beautiful, but the lodge is another story. The service is consistently poor, and the lodge’s location makes things even worse—you’re stuck with either the overpriced restaurant or the tiny gift shop, both of which lack any real selection or quality. If you want anything else, be prepared to drive nearly thirty minutes just to find food or basic necessities. For the price they charge, you’d expect better amenities and service. My advice: stay in Cambridge where you’ll have options, and just visit the park from there.

We booked for 3 nights starting Sept 15th. We had never stayed there before. On a lark, today we drove down from Summit County to have a late lunch, to see if we wanted to keep the reservation. Our server was absolutely WONDERFUL. Kayley was her name. She had a lot of local and park info to share. Her hospitality was exceptional and she represents your property with class and warmth. We will keep that reservation because of her. Looking forward to coming back in 2 weeks! Please be sure to recognize her for exceptional customer satisfaction.

It seems an ongoing remodel is nearly complete but the entire facility is lacking some much needed attention. Would like to see the finished product and can only hope much more effort is put into property upkeep and guest care once it's there.

Was very happy with our long weekend. We got a remodeled bunk bed room and it was great! The kids loved it. Outdoor pool is beautiful. The bartender at the outdoor pool was super nice and helpful. Lots to do lots to see. We Will definitely be back!

Lodge undergoing renovations and should be closed until completed. There was more furniture in the hallways than in our room - we had a bed, one table and one chair: I'm glad they're updating but it should be done right, which is not the way they're doing it. Won't return until renovations have been completed. Have seen more (better) furnishings in a Motel 6.

My family had a very disappointing experience at Salt Fork Lodge. The management seemed unresponsive to guest concerns, which was frustrating, given how many we had. The staff was slow to attend to our needs, resulting in long waits for service at the bar, pool and restaurant. Additionally, the accommodations were a mess, with cleanliness issues, missing furnishings, and ongoing construction that made the environment chaotic and uninviting. On a positive note, I must commend Salt Fork State Park itself. The natural beauty and recreational opportunities are fantastic, making it a wonderful destination for outdoor enthusiasts. However, the lodge did not live up to the same standard, and I would rate it a one-star experience overall.

I can’t believe a state-run lodge could be this poorly managed. The lodge conditions and the rooms were horrible, debris and boxes were everywhere, and the staff was completely nonchalant about it all. The lodge and its staff are both in complete and utter disarray, and ongoing construction is being handled terribly by everyone involved—absolutely unacceptable.
