Grand Hyatt Jeju

The hotel's location is good, with convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The room was spacious and well-maintained, and the pool view was absolutely amazing. Having direct Chinese-speaking service was a huge plus. However, it was incredibly crowded, and the check-out time was quite early. Toothbrushes and similar amenities cost extra, and the pool water quality was just average.

The room was spacious and in excellent condition, and the location was fantastic – close to everything. There are even great restaurants nearby for specialties like braised pork ribs and soy-marinated crab. However, the service was practically non-existent. I wanted to request a late checkout, but they wouldn't even grant an extra hour, which was really frustrating. They also wouldn't clean the room promptly, even if you pressed the cleaning service button. Don't expect much from the service here.

Nearby, you'll find E-Mart, Baojian Road Pedestrian Street, and more, making shopping, dining, and strolling incredibly easy. You can walk to Jungmun Beach in 5 minutes, and it's a 10-minute drive to the Jusangjeolli Cliff, so exploring is a breeze. 🏨 **Luxurious Facilities:** The hotel boasts 1600 spacious rooms and suites, all starting from 65 square meters, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of Hallasan Mountain, the city, and the stunning "jellyfish sea." Inside the hotel, there are 14 restaurants and bars, 2 spas, and a Korean fashion shopping center. The Sky Pool on the 8th floor is a massive outdoor pool deck that defies Jeju Island's height restrictions, featuring a heated infinity pool, jacuzzis, and a children's pool. 🍽 **Diverse Dining:** On the 38th-floor rooftop, "China House" offers authentic Shanghai cuisine. "Lounge 38" provides a romantic ambiance, and "Pojangmacha" serves unique modern Korean street food. The Las Vegas-style buffet restaurant is also excellent. 💁‍♀️ **Attentive Service:** Concierge staff will help with your luggage and can assist with car rental bookings (no need for a translated driver's license) and even purchasing seafood. The rooms and pools are clean, and the overall environment is fantastic. I highly recommend staying here!

It was really convenient to communicate in Chinese throughout my stay. Plus, they offer a free shuttle bus to DFC and Baolian Road. There's also a mall right next door, perfect for shopping and dining without having to brave the sun. Check-out was a bit early, but they do offer luggage storage.

Beyond the spacious rooms, I can't really praise anything else about this hotel. There are so many downsides. The lobby, despite being huge, was a chaotic mess during check-in, and there wasn't a single chair to sit on. Especially the female staff, they all had such sour expressions, offering absolutely no service whatsoever. There are definitely issues with the hotel management. I understand and accept the high prices during summer vacation, but poor service and bad attitudes are completely unacceptable! One-star review!!!

The room is super spacious and offers great value for money. They provide shuttle services to and from the airport/city center, have a swimming pool, and offer afternoon tea. The gym facilities are also quite good. However, the management is lacking; some guests were using the facilities barefoot.

A very nice hotel with spacious, well-designed rooms. The bed was just the right firmness. The Balmain toiletries were quite good. Most items in the mini-bar are chargeable, which was inconvenient when I wanted a drink in the evening without leaving the room. The hotel pool is beautiful; I recommend going at dusk to catch the sunset. There were quite a few children in the pool, which somewhat affected the experience. Upon arrival, the lobby was packed and chaotic, likely because people going to ****** were also congregating there. It felt much calmer when I returned to the hotel in the evening. There are plenty of good places to eat near the hotel, worth exploring.

Overall, the hotel's strengths are its great location, spacious rooms, and the fantastic sea view from the ocean-view rooms. It's highly recommended for family trips or first-time visitors. Plus, the rooms have outlets suitable for Chinese charging devices, so you don't need to bring an adapter. There's also a 7-Eleven right in the hotel, which is super convenient for grabbing onigiri, milk, and other items. Cleanliness was generally okay, but I did find some short hairs on the bathroom wall… The first room cleaning was very thorough, but the second day's was a bit perfunctory. However, the biggest complaint I have is the lack of Wi-Fi! I called the hotel several times, in both English and Chinese, and was repeatedly told the equipment was under maintenance, with no clear date for when it would be fixed.
