Beautiful little hotel which is run really well by 3 lovely ladies. Central porch area is beautiful and our room was spacious with extremely comfortable beds. There was lots of choice for breakfast which is served on the quaint roof terrace. Very close to all of the major Jerez attractions.

Totally loved my stay at this pretty hotel.Perfectly located near the Cathedral and within easy reach of the delightful centre of Jerez. What made my stay extra special was the warmth of the welcome from Alejandro and Virginia. So so charming, helpful and with great advice on the best places to visit nearby, not to mention the expertise that Alejandro offers on sherry, along with a 'copa de bienvenida'. Thanks Alejandro...I'll be back !

Very romantic and charming B&B with a great view from the roof terrace, where breakfast is served. The rooms are small, but very neat and beautifully renovated. Cosy lounge in the reception area with an honesty bar. Easy to find parking nearby.

I can’t give it a higher rating because we weren’t able to do the main thing you are at a hotel for; sleeping. We stayed at room #4, the so called “romantic room” and I can say I probably spent one of the worst nights I have ever had in a hotel after having visited over 50 countries across the world. The room faces a street that seems quiet but it turned out to be extremely noisy. Every time a car passed through sounded like there was an earthquake and the whole building started shaking. On top of that, there was groups of people passing during the whole night talking, laughing, etc. Is not that they were extremely noisy but the windows of the room are absolutely useless for avoiding noise; I actually thought that the windows were open and that’s why it was so noisy but unfortunately that was not the case. The poor soundproofing together with the proximity of the building across the street that echoed the sounds, made it impossible to sleep. At 4am, I decided to call the “emergency number” and ask if we could get another room but they told us they were fully booked (not sure if that was true or basically the manager didn’t want to come all the way to open a room for us at that time). Finally, last group passed around 7am and then we managed to sleep for 1.5h, before going on a 7h road trip. When I asked to speak with the manager the day after I was told that he would come or call me but he never did. They offered us free breakfast and free parking which was nice but to be honest not enough given the poor room we were given. Bottom line, if unfortunately you end up staying here, avoid room #4 at all costs.

What a delightful surprise! La Fonda Barranco is in the old part of Jerez and in a street with a lot of buildings that are crying out for renovation. Don't be put off! As you walk through the ornamental gate you enter another world. The glass-covered patio soars up two balconied floors and is flooded with light and beautifully decorated. Our room - a little penthouse suite - was on the second floor and charming, with a spacious bathroom. The welcome could not have been warmer and we were immediately directed to the hotel's underground parking facility - which we had booked in advance - and served an ice-cold glass of fino whilst we booked in. Sadly we were only in Jerez for one night to visit some old friends, but we hope to return and explore the city properly. One thing's for sure - we will be staying at La Fonda Barranco!

La Fonda Barranco is a small hotel close to the attractions in Jerez de la Frontera, about 20 min walk from the train station and only 2 mins from the cathedral. Aside from the fantastic location, this place is spotlessly clean and well taken care of. The owner was amazing recommending sights and arranging a visit to one of the bodegas for us. We did not book breakfast ahead of time, but in doubt, go for it. Coffee, tee, juice, cereals, bread, ham & cheese as well as sweets and fruits are well worth reconsidering. Definitely a place to come back to.

A beautiful B&B just 5 minutes from the cathedral. We’d happily go back. Breakfast, weather permitting, is served on the roof terrace with views of the cathedral, which you’re free to enjoy at any time. Our bedroom was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. In traditional Andalucian style, it overlooks the central covered atrium/courtyard. Amazingly, despite the marble/tile floors and wooden doors, the place was extraordinarily quiet and we got some excellent nights’ sleep (the sherry might have helped too). We thought we might be disturbed with other guests coming and going but not at all. Maybe this place attracts the more considerate guest! Staff were helpful, providing local info and drinking and dining recommendations. They booked a sherry tour (at Lustau) for us.

We stayed here based on some good reviews and we enjoyed it. It is very centrally located and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but very nice. We had the romantic room which was very small and had a functional bathroom. The hotel is an old traditional building and so the noise carries which means that if people are not quiet then it disturbs you which did happen. We also stayed at a particularly cold couple of days and the room was not that warm. We were however very happy with value for money and would recommend the hotel.

Fabulous hotel. I scored 4/5 because there isn’t much local parking nearby outside, however, cleanliness, decor and welcome all wonderful. My room was spotless and comfortable. My breakfast wonderful, especially as I’m gluten free, these guys have a GF toaster, offered lactose free milk and were very aware of cross contamination issues. I’d definitely re-visit.
