First of all, this place is a beautiful spot. The staff that attended us on this celebration/party were very good. The bad. As mentioned in other reviews, 13km of crap ,dusty ,potholed ,rutted dirt road to get down to the resort, ok if you have a large wheeled SUV or 4wd, torture in a normal sedan. The Cove is in a flat area which faces west. It’s blocked to the east fully by the rise in the land, which effectively creates a heat trap. Beware of this if going in the Summer. The heat in the afternoon and evening on a normal summer day was stifling.

My husband and I feel truly lucky to have had our wedding at The Cove. Not only was the location just stunning with water views/ access, friendly wildlife surrounded by the beautiful Booderee National Park, the friendly helpful staff made the 2 day stay so memorable. Maddie, Ben, Jeffrey and Lika were brilliant and made our special day smooth and seamless with their knowledge and experience. For any couples looking for a unique location to tie the knot, I highly recommend The Cove.

This is an awesome experience and I am glad we glamped for 3 nights. The tents are very close and you are sharing toilets and showers and a shared kitchen. The facilities work well and even with a full house we all managed fairly well. The bed was a bit hard for my liking but the tents are roomy enough. The inlet water is great for a swim and the beach great for a walk. The local wildlife were very friendly and the staff great. You need to be prepared for a 12km dirt road that has many potholes and at times is a little daunting when a car comes the other way on a blind corner but that a side this is a great spot deep in the national park with beautiful beaches. Highly recommend

One of the best weekends away I’ve had in Australia - I’ve lived in Australia for 5 years and I can hands down say this location is spot on. From the wallabies bouncing about, to the communal areas, open fires, marshmallows on offer, and pizza ovens! I would highly recommend this for any couples, groups who want a relaxing weekend away and want to make the most of Jervis and the surrounding activities! 10/10

Went Glamping there, absolutely amazing!! Very thoughtful staff, almost everything provided regarding cooking and playing. A bit cold in winter season during early morning and night, but its all good when the sun is out. Strongly recommended!!

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This place is definitely better on the outside than inside. We stayed in the “glamping” tents but there was nothing glamorous about them. Call it what it really is: camping. Except if I brought my own tent, it would actually be clean. There was a horrendous amount of mould INSIDE the tent - clearly it hadn’t been cleaned in months. There were no paper towels in the bathrooms for the entire weekend, and no staff around to help out. The tents were freezing, and then when I tried to use a hot water bottle it leaked everywhere because it was so old. I tried to make tea to warm myself up and there is tea in the glamping kitchen, but no milk? Not even a long life milk? Even the cheapest motel has milk! The internal zippers were also broken, so there was no way to allow airflow into the tent without bugs/animals also getting in. This meant that it was a sauna during the day. If this place is as popular for weddings as it seems, surely they can afford to maintain a basic standard of cleanliness and upkeep.

We arrived on a gloriously sunny afternoon and the road in is not as bad as some reviewers have said. It’s a 20 minute drive through beautiful coastal scrub with sand dunes on one side and St George’s Basin on the other. Wind the windows down, listen to the birds and smell the sea salt and let yourself start to relax. I travelled with 5 teenagers aged between 14-17 and we stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin. It was spacious enough for all of us to be comfortable and have privacy when we needed it. Looking over the village green was lovely as the teens played chess of an evening and the regular mob of kangaroos were daily visitors. The inlet is lovely and perfect for families with small kids who can paddle and splash to their heart’s content. The ocean beach stretches to the north and is beautiful and easy to walk on. The kids really enjoyed the dvd library and the kayaks and SUPs. It is like a little community and you share the space with other families so if you are someone who doesn’t want to be around others then this is perhaps not the place for you. It is great if you want to have your kids free range and explore which was perfect for us. The staff were always friendly and helpful and clearly took pride in the place. I did feel sorry for the person whose job it was to clean up after the kangaroos every morning on the village green! One thing that would have made our stay a bit easier was to have more cooking utensils and saucepans in the kitchen. Perhaps some more serving bowls available as when preparing meals for a group we could have done with just a few more things in the kitchen. It was a fantastic holiday and just perfect for what we were looking for. All the kids had a great time and made wonderful memories.

Marketing is flawless, Reality.............. Total disappointment!!!!!! We stayed for 6 nights over Xmas in boat cabin no. 6. The cabin was dirty, mouldy, and run down. Clearly this company invests it's time and money into marketing online rather than the upkeep and ongoing maintenance of the grounds an internal cabin. Putting a bottle of sanitiser on the table doesn't count as sanitary!!! After driving 4 hours arriving to this and knowing we had no other option this time of year, we started to clean. As you can see in the phones below this place was disgusting. It was all about the “look of the cabin”, throw pillows everywhere, glass cabinet filled with “pretty thing”, styling of objects on walls that were covered in dusk rather than focusing on cleanliness and comfort. While removing all the throw cushions from the beds we noticed most had stains, one had a big bit of ear wax smeared on it and another either, chocolate, Vegemite or poo. Who’d know? As these along with the throw at the end of the beds clearly are not washed after each guests stay. Along with the lack of a sanitary environment we also had the following issues. Unable to use fan in living room as no knob to turn on Roller blind broken on entry door as bracket snapped. Unusable Air Conditioner BLACK MOULD. Unusable Mould in main bedroom Dust and cobwebs in bedroom Pond was green Parking spots were in big puddles, nightmare to unload Dust and dead bugs down end of main bedroom Cold water tap did not work in bathroom (safety issue) Windows had mould Glasses had citrus pulp still in them from previous guests, we washed up every item in that place. Check out the only broom we were provide, covered in hair balls. No mop and bucket either. Lucy on reception listened to our concerns and did want she could to help. The head cleaner reviewed our room and noted that it was not good effort. Apparently, no one had double checked our room before we arrived, not sure that would have helped us as this place needed a deep clean. We were also told that they had just come out of wedding season. My recommendation would be to sacrifice 1 or 2 nights booking and spend that time getting things up to scratch. If i was the guest at a wedding i would have been totally disappointed staying in cabin 6 The location right on the water was the best bit.

The Cove is in such a gorgeous part of the world, and the private access lagoon is perfect for kids. We checked in around 5pm on the 23rd Dec so I can appreciate there may have been less staff on shift than usual over the Christmas period but it doesn't really excuse facts such as the bins in the kitchens and bathrooms not being changed over that time. All the 8 glamping tents were all occupied so the bins were overflowing and smelly. It would have been helpful to have left some cleaning products in the kitchen too so we could all properly clean up after ourselves during this period. Apparently cutlery and crockery are provided per tent. Once the staff had all left on the 23rd, and all the glampers were preparing dinner, we discovered there was only one fork between all 8 tents! We spoke to the staff the next day and a jar of cutlery was brought out. We shouldn't have had to ask. There were also no chopping boards and only one sharp knife. The communal fridge wasn't sufficient for 8 tents worth of people, especially as The Cove recommend doing all your food shopping before arrival (the nearest store is a 30 min drive away). Other things such as really cheap awful lumpy pillows in the tents, broken BBQs and used wet wipes by the door of our tent when we first arrived. The showers were running grey water from the shower block to the picnic tables and bonfire site. It stank and made that whole area muddy and slippery. Cleanliness and maintenance needs to be improved.
