Shaxi Wenbi Xiangshe Homestay

As I booked two rooms seperately, this is the same review as my first. This has got to be my most memorable stay while travelling around Yunnan. Operated by a lovely couple, this homestay is tasteful and thoughtful and has all the necessity you need for a great night sleep and more. I wished I stayed a few more days as it was such a peaceful and beautiful home to be in. Decked across two floors, I think the bigger rooms are on the second floor which they will help with carrying luggages. The smaller rooms seems to be on the ground floor. Location wise, while they are not located in the old town itself, that's the beauty of it. The environment is thus peaceful and quiet and they have offered to drive us into the main town if needed. Breakfast was thoughtful, nutritious, beautifully presented and served at the tea area. One cannot help but feel culturally transformed by the hospitality of this place. I truly wish them all the best in their new business adventure. Even my elderly parents were impressed. Hope to be back again.

A wonderful stay in a great little town. It's only a short walk or scooter ride to the main Shaxi area, but even more peaceful. The host was really friendly and helped us book transport to Lijiang. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the breakfast was fantastic. Would love to come back again!
