We mistakenly came to Shaxi instead of Dali old town but this hotel made it all worthwhile visiting. The personal hospitality was exceptional, the 3 versions of breakfast was so delicious and plentiful, location was great within the pedestrian only area. Rooms were very clean and charming, the attention to detail is superb. We have traveled many places and stayed at nice grand hotels such as the Ritz Carlton before but the personal service to make you feel pampered is exceptional, from the evening offerings of hot goat milk before bedtime, afternoon tea reception, parting gift, and carrying our luggage’s to meet our taxi outside the pedestrian zone was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Service was really nice. They helped us lug our luggage from afar. Room was little cold, the heater didn’t help as much. Price was a little high considering the quality of the room.

The room was kind of cold despite the heater in the room. Staff were excellent. But the breakfast was rather bland.

Incredible location, inside the Shaxi Ancient Town. The staff is very helpful and will help you to bring your luggage to and from the hotel to the parking lot.
Room and facility is clean and beautiful. Breakfast is very good.

Everything worked out perfectly. The hotel offers everything for a perfect stay and good service and quality in all respects. Teatime and breakfast are served with great care. The team helps with all challenges and is very helpful.

This is a locally run hotel. Location is good, right ij the old town . The room has everything you need, the breakfast is amazing! There staffs are very helpful, polite and attentive. You are in good hands if you decided to stay in this hotel.
We will definitely come back to stay with them again.

We like the design and architecture of the accommodation, as it gave us the feeling of staying in an ancient city. Breakfast was served piping hot. Location wise, it was some distance away from the parking lot. Hotel staff would help carry our luggage from our car to the hotel, and vice versa.

Excellent service from an all-star female team of lodging managers. Always friendly and helpful, and very very strong (as they helped to carry our luggage’s). Very good location within the old town, beautiful restored courtyard property and very yummy breakfast prepared with lots of love.
