Jianshui Sunset Holiday Homestay (Jianshui Ancient City Confucian Temple Branch)

I've stayed at one of the most family-friendly hotels in recent years, especially after staying at a B&B near Erhai Lake in Dali. The contrast was stark. The large bathtub and shower in the room had consistent water temperature, the hairdryer worked well, and the projector operated smoothly (I've encountered so many laggy hotels). The afternoon tea was comparable to milk tea shops. The bath towels were reusable, plus a full set of disposable towels, so the kids could wrap themselves in a towel after a soak in the hot water in the beautiful courtyard and dry themselves with disposable towels after showering. The large swimming pool in the courtyard was a real source of excitement for the children, who rushed to splash in the water, their laughter echoing throughout Jianshui Ancient Town. The weekday price of just over 400 yuan compared to the 3,000-plus Erhai Lake pool B&Bs isn't necessarily better; it's simply a complete overkill.

The best part was the warm, attentive, and proactive service from the owners. They invited guests to eat grilled tofu and chat in the evening, adding another layer of enjoyment and emotional value to the trip! The room was a good size and clean! The price felt like excellent value! The location was simply perfect, right next to the old street and ancient town! The best part was the small swimming pool, which my son had a blast playing in! Overall, a pleasant and excellent stay!
