Nanhu Hotel

The rooms are all good, and having a balcony is a great plus. The Chinese restaurant is excellent – generous portions, reasonable prices, and the taste rivals Black Pearl-rated establishments. The Japanese restaurant, however, was a bit underwhelming. Many of the banquet halls are decorated to a national guesthouse standard with first-class decor. There's a railway line right in front, but it doesn't affect the soundproofing at all. The Jiaxing South Lake Hotel truly feels like a state guesthouse; it would be perfect if the service details were just a little more refined. Breakfast was decent.

This hotel has been on my wishlist for a long time, and I finally got to experience it. First off, the hotel's location is fantastic, right by the famous South Lake. Unfortunately, a typhoon hit during my stay, so I couldn't visit the historic Red Boat. However, I was incredibly impressed by how the Nanhu Hotel staff handled issues with such a proactive and helpful attitude. They didn't pass the buck; instead, they went above and beyond to find solutions. This positive experience alone has significantly boosted my impression of both Nanhu and Jiaxing. While it's a minor regret that my child couldn't go on the boat this time, it just gives us a good reason to come back again.

This time, two of us traveled. The room was spacious and well-appointed. Breakfast was extensive, and the service was excellent. It's a shame there were no lake view rooms available, and even after speaking with the front desk, we couldn't get an upgrade. However, the environment is lovely. We might come back in a different season to check out the family rooms.

The service here is fantastic! Both the rooms and common areas have a really comfortable and well-designed aesthetic. What's more, the hotel is super close to all the attractions I wanted to visit, and the airport and train station are also conveniently nearby. It's incredibly convenient. This will definitely be my top choice next time I'm in Jiaxing!

I chose the Nanhu Hotel by Nanhu Lake for my vacation with my daughter in Jiaxing. The location is unbeatable, right by Nanhu Lake, offering direct access for sightseeing. All the nearby dining, entertainment, and shopping options are within walking distance. The hotel boasts a modern Jiangnan garden architectural style, while the rooms are equipped with very modern and convenient facilities, including a fully automatic toilet. I particularly liked the double sink design, and they even thoughtfully provided disposable bathtub liners. However, the breakfast selection was comparatively limited, and the dining area was small and chaotic, which felt a bit underwhelming for a guesthouse of national standard.

The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly! The hotel facilities are comprehensive and well-equipped, highly recommend! The food at the hotel's Chinese restaurant was also delicious. The server even reminded us that our portion sizes were quite large to avoid waste. Very honest service, we'll definitely be back!

This is a truly wonderful hotel. I didn't go anywhere else, just enjoyed the beautiful South Lake view from my room, relaxing and daydreaming – it was so peaceful! Especially, every staff member was incredibly welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. Everything was well-regulated, truly living up to its old five-star reputation. I'll definitely stay at Nanhu Hotel again if I get the chance.

I came here once before the May Day holiday and had a fantastic experience. I returned at the end of May, and it was excellent again! This time, I got upgraded to an incredibly spacious room – absolutely amazing. The breakfast is still delicious; I just wish it extended until 10:30 AM, as I couldn't make it down for breakfast the next day. The hotel is perfect in terms of location, service, and facilities.
