Safe place, great and kind owners , helps with any questions, house is very clean, comfortable beds. Breakfast was fresh and testy. It was one of the best places where I staid in South America . Thank you

We stayed in a lovely big room no 15 and had a cot for our toddler. The owner and staff were gracious and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We had a great time and will be back!

Excellent service with warm and friendly heart, reminder of Jo'burg Yeoville days. Wonderful breakfast with local variety. Spacious and comfortable rooms make you forget you are in the heart of Jozi....tranquil and peaceful. Worthwhile!

The guesthouse has the nicest breakfast of all. Staff provides personal care for each guest under the guidance of the owner, the well known artist, Jannie du Toit. I stayed in the top rooms and enjoyed the tranquility in the mornings

Great location and friendly staff, highly recommended. Love the wooden floors and there is an amazing view spot up a spiral staircase overlooking the Melville koppies. Very close to Melville buzz but far removed so best of both worlds.

Breakfast at De Agterplaas was great with a range of fruit, cereal, home-made bread and pastries and a nice choice of cooked breakfasts included in the room rate. The owners and staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Jannie, the owner, provided a great recommendation for a local guide. We didn't need it but late check out was offered. The B&B itself is situated on a nice residential street and has an annexe across the road which is where we stayed. The room style is a little dated but very comfortable. Melville has suffered from lower business post Covid so the local centre is not 'buzzy' but still has some nice cafés and shops.

Calm Cosy and very well located. We had a very nice family stay at after plazas. The Melville area is nice and reassuring neighborhood in Johanessburg. Beside the kindness of all the B&B team, the 7th street with its restaurant, pastry and shopping street make it unique.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and there's a beautiful garden space with lovely bird calls to wake you in the morning. Peaceful, calm, friendly. I would recommend this as a perfect place to stay.

We spent 11 nights at Agterplaas B&B and we both agreed it was a great place to stay. Firstly, all of the staff were really nice and welcoming and also very friendly - we had a lot of requests/amendments to make but absolutely nothing was too much hassle for them. We were always greeted with a hello; Badia and her breakfast service was great, remembering that we had asked for oat milk on the first day and that my partner was vegetarian, and then each day forth, making sure those were taken into consideration each morning. The beds are also incredibly comfortable! We would highly recommend this people-centered B&B if you're staying in Johannesburg!
