Both my wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. We had the benefit of a night at the beginning and again at the end of our stay in South Africa. Both rooms were wonderfully welcoming, and the bedding was crisp and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful with an old-school approach to service. There is an effortless charm to Hoeveld House. You feel immediately at home, and the combination of furniture, wall colours, and original art creates a perfect balance and refined elegance. There are a few worn areas, but in this accommodation, they don't seem to detract as they might elsewhere. You enter through a guarded gate and up a winding driveway through a beautifully maintained garden lined with dinner-plate-sized hortensias in mauves and pinks. The house blends into the garden, covered in ivy and flanked by palms and other indigenous plants. We have certainly found our Joburg base for the future. Enjoy!

The house and garden was very beatiful. The pool area was nice but the pool was not very clean. The breakfast was good but there could be some cheese and ham that you could put on the toast. Overall we had a very nice stay and The staff was very friendly.

I had such a lovely stay at Hoeveld House. Charming property, stunning location and friendly staff made my stay very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. The location is peaceful whilst being very central.

A wonderful house in a quiet location. We arrived early and left late but nothing was too much trouble for Andrew and his team. Our suite was enormous and included tea, coffee and bottled water. Dinner was delicious, as was breakfast - cooked to order! We would definitely come back here!

Amazing rooms looking to the pool with direct access Pool wasn’t clean though Service is very limited and mostly to breakfast only It is a very pretty house. But if you want room service etc, this is not the place for you.

Lovely place . Wanted to book somewhere that was homey so we could feel relaxed and not confined in a hotel environment. Was really easy to come in and out with the car and our Uber + airport links . Andrew was so fab and allowed us to check in early as our flight landed at the crack of dawn! The staff were so friendly and helpful and we loved the extra special attention from Prince and our gorgeous gin and tonics on the patio. Thank you Andrew and Prince for making our stay special.

Beautiful surrounding. Very nice garden. The house is very carefully upgraded to host guestst. And it has behold its unique atmosphere. The breakfast was also nice and the staff is friendly and correct.

We had a lovely stay at Hoeveld House. We booked the regular room but were upgraded to the executive suite, which was huge with a nice bedroom, living area and very big bathroom with bath and shower. The garden was beautiful as well as the house. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.

What a stunning house, gardens and staff second to none. We stayed here various times over our 7 weeks holiday in Africa, and they couldn’t have been anymore helpful and even better for us to think where we were going back there, they even stored some of our luggage after our Safari so we didn’t have to take it with us on our travels, which was very kind. The breakfast was delicious, the room was amazing, loved the large size of the bathroom, huge shower, could not fault it in any way, fabulous location to explore Johannesburg and a very cheap Uber ride on a evening into Sandton. Would I book it again, 100% wouldn’t even look at anywhere else, and I would recommend it to everyone I knew who was travelling to Johannesburg. Thank you
