Brilliant stay in a ‘safe’ area of Johannesburg overlooking the Koppies. Rooms were comfy and well supplied with essentials. Denise was an excellent host laying on a marvellous breakfast each morning and a plentiful supply of advice and information about Jo’burg and the surrounding area. After a few days feel you are leaving a friend rather than a b & b.

Stayed 2 weeks at BnB on 8th, it was amazing. The property is very nice, quite and close to 7th street and just right next to the kopjes.The room was nice and confortable. The host is fantastic, very nice and helpful.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this B&B and would recommend it to others. I stayed with a friend and then by myself. Denise provided a great breakfast and was very flexible on days when I was up and out earlier. She was also knowledgable about the city and gave time to discuss plans and advise on where to go etc. I would recommend for a quiet and comfortable stay. It is a safe area and you can walk up the Melville hills and up to the Melville centre.

B&BON THE 8TH AV was close to so many things n the room was comfy n large,,had a window n patio view..flowers are all around the place n birds..Denise was so kind to make breakfast each morning,,she was like a uber to me..picked me up at airport..took me back..mall was close by n we did some shopping..she left me off JOBURG ZOO close by..we took a sight seeing tour together n saw MANDELLA BRIDGE.HOMES..JAIL..& mush more all around JOBURG..she set it up for me to get picked up by PHILLIANFOR FOUR SAFARI TOUR WITH SOLLY..I saw many wild animals..the PRICE was right at DEINSE B&B STAY..GIVE HER A call,,YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT..

Home from home comfort ensures a lovely stay. Denise's attention to detail and her homestyle breakfasts make it a very pleasant visit. Looking onto the Melville Koppies was nostalgic, having grown up in Melville. 8th avenue is tranquil with many beautiful morning bird sounds

What an amazing stay, it's quiet and peaceful. The location is safe and close to shops. You can come and go as you please. You don't battle with loadshedding when staying here they are solar powered. The beds are so comfortable.

Beautiful place, lovely host, loved it. So calm this area. Lurnt a lot from Denise, thank you for that. Luckily she said we had to take the bustour as well as a tour through Soweto. We learnt so much and good for the people of Soweto. Lovely room and terras. Nothing negative to mention

Me and my husband are actually usually not fans of travelling to Johannesburg, but this was a lovely first. I had the most amazing time at B&B on the 8th! Denise is such a wonderful hostess, and her place is absolutely gorgeous! The room was so well decorated, colors are great, and since I was here for an important exam - I needed some peace and quiet. It's at the foot of this beautiful hill in such a secluded, yet safe area. The room has everything you could possibly need, breakfast is amazing and Denise is one of the best hostess I have ever come across! She preps breakfast for you in the morning herself, it's pipping hot and delicious. It's close by to so many amenities, yet quiet enough if you want some peace and quiet. Definitely our go-to place when we need to visit Johburg again!

We enjoyed the hospitality of Denise very much., her nice house and yummi breakfast too.The house is located next to a wonderful nature reserserve ,The Melville Koppies.. There you can enjoy great walks and you will have the most gorgeous view
