Hotels in Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru

If you're just looking for a place to crash for a night, there's nothing to complain about. The rooms are small, the bathroom is clean, and the AC is cold. It's surrounded by shops with plenty of food options. Parking is roadside. It's a self-check-in motel with a water dispenser on the floor, and it's been renovated.

I had a very satisfying stay here. The hotel environment was clean and comfortable, the room was spacious and bright, and the facilities were complete and well-maintained. The staff were warm and attentive, and both check-in and check-out were efficient. The location is convenient, with plenty of dining options and easy access to transportation nearby. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I felt comfortable and at ease during my stay. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit, and I'll also recommend it to my friends and family.

Although the hotel isn't in the city center, the surrounding area is incredibly lively. Except for large shopping malls, all other amenities are readily available. The room was very new, the bedding was comfortable, and all the facilities were complete. The front desk staff who spoke Chinese were also very welcoming. Parking was also very convenient. Of course, there are some areas that need improvement. The room cleaning wasn't very thorough; after checking in, there were some hairs on the floor. The room size is small, and it would feel cramped for two people. The air conditioner blows directly onto the bed. The bathroom always has steps, which could easily cause a fall if you're not careful. The soundproofing in the room isn't great; you can hear every sound from the hallway. I hope these things can be improved.

Speak of bad experience, 1. Facilities, room soundproof is bad, water running can hear, people talking loudly at back streetlane, any activity at outside room can hear. 2. Facilities, bathtub, does not cemented on the floor, drainage is not installed, when you drain the bathtub, your whole bathroom will be flooded with water. if happen you climb out from bathtub, the bathtub easily tilted and the moment accident can happen. 3. Service, housekeeping working at 6pm above such as vacuum at corridor area 4. Hotel wifi was not stong and stable, you will have difficulty connectivity even your own mobile data connection is weak in the hotel.

It's very cheap and clean, pretty much as expected, similar to Havona CIQ. Areas for improvement: 1. We arrived around 5 PM and had to wait 30 minutes because the front desk said housekeeping needed time to prepare the room (which was a bit hard to accept since check-in time is at 3 PM). 2. The room they gave us was spacious, but the bathroom sometimes smelled of smoke (and there was a broken sauna, felt a bit like a backup room). 3. There's not much to eat nearby... Overall, it's very clean and the facilities are well-equipped (though the TV in our room was broken).

I’m a frequent stayer of this hotel. The family room is very spacious. There’s additional small cushion seat and table for u to eat something. Location is great. Free parking.  But, best if they have check the shower heater before the room is occupied. The shower don’t have hot water for guest. Cold shower can you imagine. 4/5 for the amenities.

Last minute booking due to the jam at causeway. Randomly tried to find a place to stay the night. The front desk staff an Indian lady is very helpful and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a care pack that consisted of mask, nice scented candle, bath bomb, and some others essentials. It wasn't a fancy pack but I was impressed by their service. I was also very impressed that they actually had a bathtub! It was too late to utilize it as we were there at 11pm. But good effort! Hotel room was also very clean, bedsheets were super clean and frgamy too! However I didn't feel safe with the location. This is not the fault of the hotel at all of course. Just that while we arrived, there were a few motorbikes who kept revving past and they were shouting and creating a ruckus. So I felt a big unsafe to leave the car there. There is option to park the car within the hotel premises but comes with a strange request to leave the car keys with them 😅 so I just parked in the public carpark which felt...a bit risky. So if you are very worried then this hotel may not be for u.

The room is clean and big. The location is close to many good foods and near the aeon supermarket. Although it is right beside a busy road, the soundproofing is superb! Will visit this hotel again when i visit permas jaya again.

Stayed at Renaissance Permas Jaya and overall had a good experience. The hotel is conveniently located near the pasar malam and there are plenty of eating places nearby, which makes it easy to find food without travelling far. The twin beds were a highlight — they were very big and comfortable, with plenty of space for two people. One downside is that the lounge can get very crowded, especially during peak hours. We arrived just about 5 minutes late and there were already no seats available, which was quite disappointing.

Grand Hallmark Hotel may not be a very large hotel with spacious rooms, but it has many qualities that make the stay enjoyable and worthwhile. I really like the modern interior design, which gives the hotel a fresh, stylish, and welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests arrive. The rooms may be compact, yet they are neat, comfortable, and well arranged to provide everything needed for a pleasant rest. One of the best highlights for me is the comfortable bed, which makes it easy to relax and sleep well after a busy day. The hotel’s location is also very strategic, especially for travelers who love food and nightlife. Many good restaurants, cafés, and pubs are located nearby, making it convenient to explore the area without needing to travel far. Guests can easily enjoy local dishes, supper spots, and entertainment within walking distance. Overall, this hotel offers comfort, convenience, and modern style, making it a smart choice for a short stay in Johor Bahru.
