Back then this hotel was good but unfortunately they were not maintaining the infrastructure of the room. Hot water is not functioning, the room and corridor smell badly.

We took the 2 bedroom. Is a apartment unit. Need better sofa or sofa bed. A bit run down. Otherwise ok. Not convenient for 2 bedroom only one access card so another person need to follow to ground level or take a family member from ground level to unit. As for parking the 2 bedroom comes with designated parking at level 5. Can go straight to room or straight to Paradigm Mall. Additional parking need to just register and is free.

Our second stay in this hotel after 1.5 years. The hotel is still well maintained. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They will greet you every time when you pass by. The room has a sofa which you can request for extra bedsheet, blanket and pillow for a child to sleep so it is perfect for a family of 3. They provide basic amenities. Food varieties also reasonable and I saw some improvement. This time they invested a fresh orange juicer machine so that guest gets to drink fresh juice. Overall good, will come back again if they are able to maintain the affordable price.

The location is very good. Less than 10 mins to Paradigm mall. Driving distance to a few nice makan place. The staff is only available at the counter from 2 to 9pm. Can borrow hair dryer from them and return upon checkout.

Booked non-smoking room, but few rooms also with cigarette smell and cigarette butt in toilet basin and floor. (I requested to change room) Sticky room floor. Cracked toilet bowl, dew unsafe to use. Also saw stray cat vomit on table at lobby waiting area. So far, the location is good. Friendly staff.

Recently transitioned to the Swing & Pillows brand, with ongoing renovation that's now largely complete. The all-important Quality of Welcome, so rare in JB hotels, is outstanding. Kudos to Umar, Jason and the team. 👍🏼 😍. Check in is fast and efficient. Keypad code for entry to the property if reception unattended may seem obvious, but it's a big help with both security and quality of life for hotel guests. Rooms are truly spotless, towels and linens are new and fresh, the bathrooms functional and the showers 🚿 enjoyable. All these things are rareties that are not to be taken for granted with JB hotels in this price range. By the way, even the Single Room No Windows is fairly spacious and the aircon and WiFi (do select the 5GHz band) are very effective. An easy, and strong, recommendation from me. I've been visiting JB for over 15 years, lived in JB for over a year before Covid-19 and have been super critical of JB hotels (price, quality, service, cleanliness and security / safety concerns) over the years. Swing & Pillows @Johor Bahru is a successful transformation of an old property. Well done 👏🏼 💕.

Location: It’s heading towards the highway to North bound. Hence, it is convenient and not too jam to travel around. Room condition and hotel: Old. Hotel management is doing maintenance to upgrade the hotel. Checked in got the third floor, but the door lock had issue. Had to change room. My first two nights was on the 2nd floor. The desk is positioned far away from the lights. TV not functioning. Then, the toilet got stucked. At first got the housekeeping to deal with it. But it wasn’t successful, hence requested a room change. Moved to the 1st floor on my last night. Everything was okay. Room comfort: Pillows too soft. Bed comfortable. Neighbours too loud. If you are taking the room facing the main road, it will be noisy. Cleanliness: The hotel management should really improve. Although they do housekeeping everyday, however, it is done simply, not thorough. But due to the old building, the mouldy smell, pest smell is quite strong. Clean sheets and towels are placed on the floor which is a no no. And, they placed the dirty sheets and towels at the reception area. Overall: if you’re planning to stay one night for a valuable price, it is worth it.

The location was good, right above Paradigm Mall. Service provider was prompt in replying to messages and gave clear check-in, check out guide with videos. The place is just nice for a family of 6. Slightly down side is the water pressure in the bathroom could be abit stronger, but this is subjective to individuals.

Apartment is located just above the Paradigm mall. We were only given one access key card for our 2 bedroom unit. This caused much inconvenience as we can’t get in and out of the apartment freely as individuals. Unfortunately for us, the washing machine was leaking and unusable. We were only given one bath towel for each of us during our stay, without any hand towels. No toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner and only 2 trash bins/bags in the unit. There’s no microwave and no wine opener too. Every unit is allocated one fixed parking lot. Additional parking requires approval for parking in visitors lot from the guard house. There is no front desk to get help from even during the day. Everything is communicated thru WhatsApp.

The unit at level 10 was clean. I think the House keeping Rahim did a great job. Rahim was really helpful and friendly. This is the kind of hospitality service that brings us wanna go back again. Suggestion: * The downside is rooms all have a little weird smell. May want to consider ioniser machines to get rid of those smell. I cannot tell what that was. * beds were on a little hard side. Maybe can add a layer of topper to make it easier to sleep on * Location was great but they won't let us bring trolley up to the apt makes it quite a turn off as we were not able to bring up the water 6L and a few other things we bought without the trolley. * Swimming pool has a lot of small pebbles inside, i think it needs some clean up. My son hurt his feet in the regular pool.
