Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Yamanaka Saichoraku

The last time I stayed, it was crowded and I couldn't enjoy the meal, but this time there was a bit more space and I was able to relax. The seafood was delicious, but I wish there had been more grilled dishes.

All female guests, very convenient. No male guests.

I was supposed to be there to relax after a hectic work schedule, but... I waited nearly two hours to check in. While I understand that due to a staff shortage, the room wasn't yet cleaned, and while the staff knew that an unfinished room meant a significant wait, I think it was a mistake for them not to inform guests of the exact wait time. The lobby was overflowing with guests, likely believing they'd be able to see them after a few minutes, and the two front desk staff were overwhelmed. After an hour of waiting, I finally lost my patience and asked how long it would take. They replied, "Our room hasn't been cleaned yet, so it'll take another 20 minutes..." I offered to use the large public bath first, and, knowing it couldn't possibly be completed in 20 minutes, I took a leisurely dip in the hot spring, finally arriving just before 5:00 p.m. So, even if making guests wait was unavoidable, I wondered what they would do about the wait time. If they had told me how much it would cost, I could have minimized my dissatisfaction. The hotel has many attractive features, including a large public bath, a rock sauna, karaoke, and a manga corner. If I'd used them wisely, I could have minimized my dissatisfaction. There's a hot spring resort, and I'm sure some people would go out if they had an hour or two. It's a precious trip. It's leisure time. It's more precious than ordinary time. I think the inn is greatly at fault for wasting so many guests' time. Even in a pinch, I think you can overcome it successfully if you use your head and think flexibly. Also, the inn mistakenly didn't provide a coupon for prefectural residents. If I hadn't asked for it, I wouldn't have received it. With a start like this, things that normally wouldn't bother me started to bother me... Well, I guess the clump of hair left in the wash area, probably because they forgot to clean it up during cleaning, was annoying even without that. I went there to relax, but I ended up exhausted and frustrated, and I couldn't calm myself down unless I wrote this review. I love Yukai Resort and have been a repeat customer, staying there at least three times a year. I was particularly disappointed because the last time I stayed at this inn, I felt it was the best hospitality I've ever had. I think I'll refrain from using it for a while. I'm going to a rival inn next week, so I'll be sure to relax there this time lol
