We arrived quite late, so they upgraded our room. We stayed for several nights and had a fantastic experience. Traveling with a 1-year-old, they provided a bed rail and even building blocks, which our baby absolutely loved. The room also had a microwave, perfect for preparing baby food anytime. The only downside was that during the day, there was occasionally some music and what sounded like broadcasts that were a bit noisy, but it was quiet at night. The hotel's location is excellent; it was very convenient to grab late-night snacks, and popular restaurants were right next door.

We ended up in a magnificent corner room with a view of Sakurajima - possibly the best room in the hotel - but only after a struggle. On arrival, we were told that our Standard King room was double-booked and we would have to move after one night to a smaller room. The hotel blamed the mix-up on Trip.com. Since we had booked almost two months prior and had arrived first, this didn't wash. We pressed our claim and the result was good. A lovely, modern room with exceptional facilities - including a private sauna - and magnificent view. But it speaks poorly of the hotel's customer service that it took some determined push-back to achieve this result. The hotel's initial attitude was that the we should lose out over a mix-up that had nothing to do with us. A first-rate place, if you can trust the booking.

Overall, I was quite satisfied with our comfortable stay in Kagoshima. The washing machine came with a dryer, which was very convenient. We didn't opt for breakfast and cooked our own noodles instead. A large supermarket and a 7-Eleven are conveniently located nearby. While it's a bit of a walk to the bus stop, it was acceptable. The room layout was comfortable, offering ample space to move around. Service was minimal; check-in is handled on the 13th floor, making it essentially a self-service hotel. Our kids really enjoyed playing around the hotel.

Highly recommend this place for a Kagoshima trip! The room was spotlessly clean and incredibly spacious. It's fully equipped with all sorts of amenities, so you could even easily prepare a simple meal. The bathroom was also very spacious, and it even came with a washer-dryer. This was easily the best accommodation of my entire trip!

The room is genuinely cozy, sparkling clean, and feels like a new apartment. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Tenmonkan. The street downstairs is lined with nightclubs, so it's probably best not to return too late. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs and a local supermarket diagonally opposite, offering all sorts of fresh meat and vegetables. It was perfect for us to buy ingredients and use the room's kitchenware for a satisfying yakiniku or shabu-shabu meal. The local wagyu and kurobuta pork were incredibly fragrant and absolutely delicious! Check-in and check-out are fully self-service, which has its pros and cons. The advantage is the peace, quiet, and freedom it offers. However, the downside is that if it's raining and you need help calling a taxi, there's no staff member available to assist you. A taxi ride to Kagoshima-Chuo Station costs about 1000 yen. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

Self service type property with no frills service. Staff assisting with checkin was polite and helpful. The room we chose came with a washing machine with dryer function which was super useful on a long trip! Pay to use laundry machines also available in public area. The room also had a kitchenette which we appreciate. Able to see sakurajima from our windows! But also saw the roof of the building next door 😅. Woke up with a few itchy bites on my wrist, not sure if it wad dustmites. Hope it's not bedbugs!

An excellent hotel! I highly recommend this room type; it's incredibly spacious, comes with a kitchen and full set of utensils, and offers a fantastic volcano view. Truly impressive. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kagoshima! The hotel also has private sauna rooms available for a fee. You can easily book them by scanning a QR code in your room. The cost is 7,000 JPY for two people on weekdays and 9,000 JPY on weekends. I hope to have the chance to experience them during my next stay.
