JR Kyushu Hotel Kagoshima

This hotel, run by JR, boasts an unbeatable location right inside Kagoshima-Chuo Station. It's literally a one-minute walk from the Shinkansen exit. Kagoshima-Chuo is the central hub of Kagoshima and the southernmost Shinkansen station in Kyushu. You'll find Amu Plaza, Aeon Mall, and various trams and buses to different destinations nearby, making it the perfect place to stay. What truly stands out is the front desk, which consistently has four or five staff members on duty, giving the hotel a genuinely high-class feel.

This hotel is super convenient! It's just a few dozen meters from the JR Station's second-floor west exit (the Shinkansen exit). Check-in is also on the second floor, and they offer free luggage storage if you arrive early. Breakfast is a Japanese-style buffet on the first floor and quite substantial. The hotel is a good size and the facilities feel quite new.

Very good! Breakfast offers both Japanese and Western options, available in both the South and North wings. The Western breakfast is served as a set menu. The location is excellent. Overall, it's highly recommended. Parking is convenient and costs 1000 JPY per day.

Extremely convenient. It's connected to the department store inside the central station, as well as the Shinkansen station, and you can even buy bullet train bentos there. I chose the room with breakfast, and I highly recommend the Japanese breakfast; it pretty much met all my needs. The hotel is split into North and South buildings. Western-style breakfast is on the first floor of the North building, and Japanese breakfast is on the first floor of the South building. The twin room in the North building was spacious with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. For luggage storage, you can ask the front desk for an electronic card, and there's also a self-service luggage storage point nearby.

The room was great and quiet, and breakfast was good too. The entrance was a bit crowded, but the staff were very welcoming and provided toiletries, which was a nice touch! The tea was delicious, definitely recommend it!
