Aloha Hale is a one of a kind, 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, fully appointed town house style condominium that is located near the calm, protected harbor and beach of Keauhou Bay. The downtown Kailua-Kona area, on Alii Drive, is a short 10 minute drive or take the Kona Trolley that runs near the condo on a regular schedule. A three-minute walk from the condo will take you to Keauhou Bay, the historic home of Hawaiian royal families. It offers a safe beach for the kids, volleyball, kayaking, whale watching in season, and recreational boat rentals with paddle boarding, scuba diving lessons, fishing, and snorkeling tours on Kona’s calm, iridescent blue waters. It’s right next door to the Sheraton Resort and Spa and an amazing farmer’s market that is held twice weekly where you can shop for all your locally grown vegetables, fruits, and local crafts in an Aloha atmosphere. Our Aloha Hale Condo is a two-story, spacious 1350 sq. foot townhouse, that feels more like your own house than a crowded condo. It is located in a series of low-rise, uniquely shaped condos that are interspersed with lush gardens in Mauna Loa Village. No multi story, noisy, crowded, apartment type atmospheres like most condo complexes are in the Kona area. Each small pod has its own swimming pool and hot tub for guests to use and it’s almost like having your own private backyard pool / hot tub! The property has their own tennis courts with over 11 courts with many of them being lighted at night, and one of them has arena seating. If golf is your game the resort is nestled within the nearby 36 holes of championship golf at the Kona Country Club. You can also enjoy easy access to more secluded walking trails near other historical sites. Two master suites highlight this 2 bedroom, 2 ½ bath condo. The condo is newly furnished, fully equipped. There are three flat screen TVs, cable TV, WiFi, nationwide phone service, air conditioning, ceiling fans, beach towels and all the beach gear you will need to enjoy the nearby beaches, and more. Every room is bathed in sunshine as if all the rooms are a part of the outdoors as they blend together........ uniquely beautiful is a perfect description! Upstairs you'll find the "Great Room" with its vaulted ceiling, kitchen, dining area, half-bath, and a relaxing lanai. The pictures best describe this area. The lanai overlooks the pool and hot tub area and soothing tropical gardens. The lanai is the perfect place for breakfast to begin your day and, or to have dinner as you wind down your day after enjoying your Hawaiian fun filled adventures! The dining room table can seat up to eight people and there is a flat screen TV in the spacious Great Room. This really is your home in paradise! There is also a large covered parking garage, with unlimited parking for your car. If you crave a SPA DAY you can do so at the near by Sheraton at their Ho'ola Spa. Reservations of course required. If a BBQ style lunch or dinner is your choice, all the family can get together for a family cookout at the resort’s BBQs that are steps away from Aloha Hale. All you need to BBQ is furnished for you so just bring your choice of foods to cook and enjoy them on the spacious lanai or dining area. There is also a gas fire pit where you can make Smors at the BBQ area. Just up the road is the Keauhou Shopping Center that contains a KTA grocery store, up-scale shops, restaurants, movie theater, live entertainment, and Longs Drug Store for all your needs only minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kona. The condo was clean and well stocked. We stopped at Costco and cooked in most nights. KTA is right up the street for other groceries. We walked to the Outrigger right next door to see the manta rays at night. Great location and great condo. Ashok was good about communication with us. Would definitely recommend.

OK but issues Property manager was nice and responded to issues quickly. The location of the property is great. We have stayed in similar units before which is why we picked this one. People have been great leaving items for others to use and even food in the fridge. This is where I have issues. First, is the owner has a Ring doorbell which he monitors and if you forget to turn up the air conditioner, he is quick to remind you. He also can control the air conditioner remotely, which he had done once when we were there. I think someone watching when we come and go is an invasion of privacy and also against Vrbo rules. I understand that electricity in expensive in Hawaii but when you rent a place, even if he tells you in advance to adjust the temp, you should be able to keep the A/C at whatever temp you want all the time. Next was the cleanliness of the place. My wife spent 1/2 day cleaning the kitchen. The oven was dirty so we had to run the clean cycle and then wipe it out. The dish rack was filthy and my wife cleaned it twice to get most of the stains out. The sinks was marked up and beyond getting cleaned. The space between the stove and the counter had a rubber spacer that was filthy underneath. We had two pest problems in the unit which the manager addressed promptly. Dead cockroach and filth behind the refrig. Broken Blinds never replaced after owner he was told 2 years ago. Pictures on the Vrbo website are old ones so not an accurate depiction. Fabulous digs Wonderful decor. Comfortable beds. Helpful owner to deal with if there are problems. Good selection of beach chairs and equipment. One complaint? The blackout window slats need replacement. Missing and broken slats on many windows. Pull strings close to breaking. Cannot shield from the heat of the sun. Privacy problem.

Mother/Daughter Trip It's a nice spacious condo, located on lovely grounds with several pools and tennis courts onsite. It's a short walk (5 minute or less) to Keauhou Bay where there is a lovely view of the sunset and easy access to snorkeling tours, including the amazing Manta Ray Night Snorkel, offered by several companies. It was really nice to be able to walk to the night snorkel. The condo is located near many good snorkeling sites such as Kahaalu Bay and Two Step and local artisan markets (Captain Cook, the Outrigger Hotel - just next to the condo). Its a little farther from the big sandy beaches which tend to be north of Kona, though Magic Sands Beach is a nearby alternative. The condo itself does not offer a sunset view but we discovered lovely views just down the street. All in all it was a lovely stay. The grounds are quiet and had lovely flowers all around. The pools are simple but with the numerous pools around the grounds, we almost always had a pool to ourselves or with only a couple other people. The condo is also well stocked with gear such as beach chairs, a beach umbrella and such which was great to have. There's also snorkel gear, but we had brought our own. The host was very accommodating to our schedule with a late check out which was much appreciated. There's a grocery store and drugstore nearby. All in all it was a lovely stay! Thank you!

Solid VRBO Rental Property for Family of Four This is a great rental for a family of four. We liked the idea of the bedrooms being downstairs and the great room with lanai and kitchen upstairs. The two king-sized beds made it very comfortable. They had a lot of beach equipment; the only thing the owners didn't have were large boogie boards. Otherwise, it's a great stay for a Big Island vacation.

Outdoors Very nice and clean grounds. Our pod hot tub was not working our first few days here. Main water line was shut down for one afternoon due to a leak. Overall a very nice complex area.
