I'm a Japanese backpacker. It was a simple and comfortable place to stay. There was plenty of hot water, so I could take a shower without worry. There was also a rooftop where I could hang out my laundry, which was very helpful. Kaiping in January is neither too cold nor too hot, so it's perfect for sightseeing. Try going to the pedestrian street at night. There are lots of food stalls, so it's fun. The clam noodles are delicious ☺ I also recommend the rice sweet and fragrant eel rice pot.
