Amada Colossos Resort

Would have been 5 just a couple of things .first the good! Great staff helpful friendly ,clean resort & rooms ( important to me ) food in all restaurants very good ! Meat hot or cold good quality plenty of choice , drinks good choice ( may come a little slow in high season but staff always working hard !) out side and pool area clean . Just my feed back , I wish the person who put the water in room would come earlier ,as you think you room is clean and done but then late afternoon someone just come in ! Lucky we sat with clothes on 🙈 We had no entertainment there is a theatre at the front of hotel but work was been done on it , we may just not had right week ! A lady did sing earlier teatime and I think one night two men were trying to sing , sometimes evening background music a bit like pool music in the day , also the children’s entertainment seemed late . Just not really up to rest of hotel . Now I think reception should say when they give pool towels card out that you Must Hand back end of day as there will not be clean ones the next day and people may have to wait till everyone has picked up there’s before swap . I know pool opens at 10 so that is when towel pick up is but maybe 9.30 as we are making most of days towel man does not have tip box and he gets most whinges in hotel !! Also adult area which small side of pool , hotel did not enforce this so one day they let one family then next day others follow , there is a lot of area for family’s and also water park ., last thing has a massage which was good but 60 euros for 30 mins not sure I would do again they do take you to a room to relax after which I could not as one size dressing robe was help together edge by edge so could not pick up water or would have been embarrassed 😳 maybe a few larger size. There was a older guy in buffet restaurant always made people smile ! Over all would go back again .

The food in the main restaurant is usually luke warm - neverhot. The 3 alacarte restaurants are mostly excellent apart from the Greek one which generally seems to be chaotic and poorly supervised - the other 2 are worth the 5stars. Most rules are ignored especially the old chestnut of putting towels down to'reserve' the sunbeds. There are 10 together at the moment that have had towels on since 8am, it is now 4pm and they have not been used, always the same 'gang' of 'people' - I use the term loosely! The toilet in your room has a glass door ensuring you have no privacy. My review gets 4stars mainly because of the staff who are friendly and helpful. The pool and water park are excellent with the food at MAD by the beach very good. So overall very good but don't have rules if you are unwilling or scared to enforce them. Cleanliness is excellent and the rooms are cleaned every day.

Just returned from the armada over in Falaraki and I felt I wanted to put an honest review as when we read a lot of the reviews they were all very positive. This hotel is in a great location for Rhodes old town and falaraki, the pools are clean and the food is average. One worrying thing was the staff, half way through my holiday I went to sit down on one of the chairs with my 4 year old son. The chair had snapped in one of the corner before I sat down and left sharp metal edge. I made one of the staff aware and the response was ‘what do you want me to do about it, take another chair’ and then the chair was left. I felt the customer service let it down, some staff were great but I’d say the majority come across rude and it felt like they weren’t keen on the English. I felt this as when asking for drinks they were not very happy and on a few occasions make Greek remarks to their colleagues. I saw one man ask for three beers for him and his friends and the waitress turned round and said ‘ah English water’ and then muttered something Greek to her colleague.

Very clean hotel with a private beach, only 20 mins from the airport. Staff can’t do enough for you and the rooms are very clean. The food is plentiful that caters for vegetarians and gluten free. The a la cart restaurants are a must! I would like to mention in particular the Italian restaurant where we were looked after so well by Nikos and Carolyn who are the head staff. I definitely would recommend this hotel!

The staff at Amada Colossos Resort Hotel are exceptionally polite and professional, always smiling and willing to help, making you feel right at home. Our room was clean, and housekeeping was excellent. With the ultra all-inclusive package, we enjoyed free access to the restaurant, drinks, and snacks. The buffet for all meals offered a good variety of food, desserts, and fruit. Even after checkout, we had access to the restaurant and facilities until our flight. The pool is extremely clean, and the beach is just in front of the hotel. The gym, available from 8:00 to 20:00, has a reasonable variety of equipment. There is live music at the pool twice a day, plus a kids room and a water park. In May (week 21), the weather was pleasant, with a maximum temperature of 30°C. We were pleasantly surprised with a birthday cake for my wife. I highly recommend this hotel for a luxury holiday in Rhodes. To save money, consider booking out of high season. Our 1-week stay for 2 adults and one child cost about 2600 euros in May, compared to 5200 euros in July. There is much more to say about the hotel, but the review would be too long.

Great resort in fantastic location 5 minutes bus from farilaki and 20 from Rodi Town . Private beach with open bar , massive swimming pool with bar , room very clean modern with all confort and balcony . Staff very friendly helpful and professional . Buffet always with a lot choice of international food . Nice gym and spa! Very recommended for family , group of friends and solo travelers .

Its obvious this place focuses on making the quest feel welcome. All parts of the experience feel well thought out and I'm always sure the hotel knows what needs to be done. The food is extensive and serious. Beach is a dream to relax by. Nothing is neglected. There isnt a process to the experience, but an affordble above and beyond handling of each and every scenario.

Where to start with this amazing hotel?!! From the moment we walked into the lobby we were blown away. We arrived on the first day of opening for the season. It was very quiet, much to our delight. The receptionist was welcoming and informative and our luggage was taken to our room by a porter. We had a sea facing room, and what a room it was. The view was just stunning, and I’ll tell you now, the sunrises are out of this world! The rooms are spacious, clean and to a very high standard. After settling in and unpacking we went to explore. There is a wonderful little supermarket in the hotel where you can buy pretty much anything you may need during your stay, and if they don’t have it, they’ll endeavour to find it for you. Being the first week of opening not all the bars and restaurants were open straight away, but we were not disappointed. As the week progressed all restaurants opened and the beach bar. The food did not disappoint in the slightest. The Buffet restaurant is delicious and lots to chose from. We also managed to dine in all 3 of the A La Carte restaurants during our stay. Again, the food was wonderful. We met the chef a couple of times and it was very apparent food was very much his passion and incredibly important to him that the food that was served from his restaurants was of the highest quality. I cannot end this review without mentioning the staff. From the cleaning and maintenance staff to the management, every single person was polite, friendly and helpful. We would like to give special thanks to Janina (I’m sorry if I haven’t got the spelling right) from the lobby bar, who was always smiling, happy and very attentive. Eleni from the Greek Restaurant, Nikos and Christina from the Italian restaurant and Vasilis from the Asian restaurant, who all made us feel so welcome and more like family than customers! This was certainly a holiday we will never forget and we will definitely be returning. We would definitely recommend, but don’t go during the 1st week in May…because that’s our week ;)

The hotel was okay Food & drink was decent I’ve had better quality in other hotels though Staff were okay - found you get treated better in other resorts or go self catering! I’ve always preferred Greece self catering Room was spacious and clean Beautiful balcony and views We went when it was raining last year in May and to be honest the weather probably ruined the holiday, the hotel could not accommodate all the guests indoors when it was raining, which I get as it probably doesn’t always happen. The location of the hotel was poor. Had to get taxi / bus into the old town as not walking distance. Wasn’t much around without having to travel
