We had the best time here! The staff are so attentive and friendly from start to finish. The pool area is utter luxury, with the pool side bar near. The Villas are very spacious and immensely clean! They have such a fresh fun feel, we will recommend this place to everyone. The beach is also such a bonus to this incredible property

A superb way to end a trip around Sri Lanka. Quiet and tranquil, accommodation is arranged in separate villas which were very clean and plentiful with toiletries. The pool area had lots of sun beds and there was direct access to the beach. We walked in both directions along the expansive sand and enjoyed the strong waves and breeze. Exciting to watch the local fishermen bringing in their catch and the watch the sun set at the end of each day. The buffet restaurant had a good choice and the staff were attentive and friendly.

We have just returned from a tour in Sri Lanka. Our final 7 nights were spent relaxing at villas Wadduwa. We had a wonderful time here, our room, the pool and gardens were beautiful and a massive amount of effort is made by the staff to keep all areas, including the walk to and beach area adjacent immaculate. Also, the staff are very helpful, friendly and go above and beyond to ensure guests are happy in their stay. Just 1 example of this was Dinesh (1 of main chefs) who was always around the restaurant with a smile and an interest in your eating experience and anything that you would like. He was very happy for us to have an early breakfast before our departure. The amazing effort made with presenting dinner on Valentine’s Day was very special. We loved it here.

At the end of our island tour we landed here for 5 nights. Small hotel with individual villas located within peaceful gardens right on the beach. Rooms were a decent size and reasonably clean. Bathroom was in need of renovation but fully functional with a powerful shower. Everyone had their own terrace or patio which was just as well as there weren’t enough sun beds around the pool [I reckon 16]. Kinda weird given there’s nothing else to do. There’s a small quiet road just at the front of the hotel adjacent to the railway line. You can walk about 15 mins to the left or 25 mins to the right and then cut down to the beach to walk back to the hotel. There’s a couple of little shops across the railway line which are worth a visit. Breakfast and dinner were served in the. Open air restaurant and we always found something tasty to eat. Thanks to Tharindu and Harikesh for their great service and attention to detail. If you want something special, maybe a lobster dinner, that can be arranged with the restaurant manager for a small consideration. We had a minor blip in our bill on departure so I recommend you get a copy on the night before departure so u can check for any discrepancies rather than at the last minute when your taxi is waiting.

Poor hotel; we were moved from the original choice. Not in a tourist area at all; nothing to do. Only entertainment is one pool table. Poolside, only have 20 sun loungers for a 40 room hotel - why?? especially as there was the space... plus bugs, ants that nip and bite.... pool water temp like a bath. Food good but bar drinks choice very limited, and service so so slow - why don't they come round the pool and ask what you would like; you have to go find them and it's not as if the drinks were part of an included package. Beach pretty but not useable, too steep, rough sea and under sand black. Room air conditioning very noisy (and that was after a room change because our first room a.c. did not work)..

This is okay for a boutique hotel. Rooms clean and nice size. Baffling that they dont have enough sunbeds with guests up at 7am to hog a bed- very unpleasant. Not even enough chairs, only three by the pool side bar and when we arrived we didn’t even have them in our room. This is significant though as there is nothing to do outside the hotel and the sea is very rough with locals hassling you, so a bed to relax by pool is essential, hence the determination of guests to get one! Food is okay- not much of a choice but adequate Service not so good, poor understanding of english which didnt help

I do not recommend this hôtel, the staff is not Well trained, a lot of fisherman on the beach Who talk to you, fighting at dawn to get deckchairs at the swimming pool, eating early to have choice at the buffet, the railway right in front with the train which is very noisy, the only good point is the cleaning, the rooms are clean but the air conditioning is also noisy.

Dear team @ The Villas, Wadduwa, Ms Ishani at the front desk, Rukman as our room cleaner and the head chef along with the Sous Chef and everyone else made our 4 night stay extremely comfortable. (26th Dec - 30th Dec 2023) Right from the start with the Tamarind juice as a welcome drink to the final bill, everything was extremely personal. We were travelling with an 18 month old baby and special care was taken to provide us with milk and baby food at our request. The resort had a warmth to it only due to the staff. The buffets for breakfast and dinners (we took half boarding) were just perfect. Despite all of us guests being from different parts of the world they catered to almost everyone's taste. Overall a very memorable stay only due to the sstaff at The Villas. Great place to stay.
