The room is not soundproof, you can hear the fart next door. In addition, there are singers singing in the lobby every night. The sound is so loud and noisy until after 11 o'clock. They don't stop and you can't rest at all.
When cleaning the room, either bath towels or toothbrushes are not given. I think it is intentional, hoping that the guests will call someone to deliver them so that they can collect tips. This is also a common problem in Lanka hotels.
The hotel is a bit old, but there are no tissues or slippers in the room. What's going on?

Very Kind staff. Beautiful place for couples and family. Excellent service. Nice food. Ocean was beautiful, celan beach. Wi-Fi connection excellent. Very romantic place. Romantic dinner on the beach was amazing. Ayurveda rituals were amazing, Front office service was very profesionall and kind.

We enjoyed a lot we went to the beach and we swimmed in the pool and we had the best buffet and we played table tennis and billiards and the room is so cool and we had a great time there .When we came we can have a welcome juice and it was so tasty and we can also do anything that mean we could spend the day like in a wonderfull home .The staff members are very helpful and friendly service see you there have happy holiday at THE PALMS. The property looks amazing and is spread out on a massive plot. It has the traditional architectural look with wooden works on the ceiling and all over the resort. The walk towards the reception has a pretty amazing view and is a 2-minute walk as well. It has access to a beach area. Our room was spacious, with a balcony view of the beach and swimming pool area. The food was amazing, as it included Sri Lankan cuisines and international cuisines. The staff is great and friendly. The only thing I disliked about the resort was the toilet and washroom in our room. Some of the wall tiles were broken, and some flies were coming out of them. The floor and wall tiles are pretty old and have stains on them. Water comes out of the wet area into the dry area as there is a gap between the glass doors and floor tiles, which makes the toilet and washroom messy all together. Along with that, I used the services in the Ayurveda center. Staff named Anshuka attended me and did a pretty amazing job massage and body scrub. I loved her work. Again, the only thing I disliked was the washroom in the Ayurveda centre, which was the worst one I have ever seen in a resort of this type. They really need to get some renovations done on these washrooms. It had dead cockroaches and very dirty toilet and wall tiles, with all the hair of previous customers on the wall and floor drainer.

We felt at home as if with family. Ever so eager to assist and help with any request with a smile. The reception staff even phoned my next destination hotel to confirm my booking and arrange for early check in. Needed a little upkeep in odd places but housekeeping was immaculate.

We steyed at the Palms for 2 nights. Most of the staff was very kind and helpful, a special mention goes to very lovely Chathuni at the front desk and utmost helpful Ruwan from the housekeeping. Food was good (breakfast and dinner buffets), food quality was good but the selection and variety was pretty limited. Rooms were clean but like all other facilities and premises (overall infrastructure) rooms were very old, worn out and bit shabby. According to our ’European standards’ hotel is not even close to 4-stars, maximum 3.

This is a nice looking hotel. The entrance coming is very welcoming. We got, what we were told, was the best room. Had a jacuzzi tub, but it leaked, so not useable. Close to beach and has a nice pool. Food was good at buffet, and staff were friendly. Could use some upgrades, but all in all I would stay there again.

Highly recommended! We had a very good time at the palms resort and in beruwala. Hotel is beautiful, by the beach and with nature and nice atmosphere all around. There are several open air spots where to relax. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant and service was good too. Special thanks to Thakshila who was always kind and sharing curiosities about Sri Lanka. Locations is strategic as well, beruwala already has a lot to offer but it is possible to reach other beautiful places in Sri Lanka from there through half-a-day or day trips!

The stay is really nice. The view from the room is too good, beachfront property. Food is good, very few Indian cuisines. Need more vegetarian options. We came with my family and can be recommended for a family stay. Staffs are very helpful. Overall a good and decent stay.
