I felt very bad when I arrived because I kept saying that I couldn't find the reservation record. After waiting for an hour, I contacted Ctrip later. There as part of a group tour. Stayed in better 3 and 4star hotels on tour. Staff work in silos, 4 staff stood chattering in restaurant whilst others were working hard, remote robots. Smile would crack their face in reception. Room not serviced till 4pm each day, train running very close by so 6am wake up with the hooters going (having been woken up at 5 by prayers over the tannoy. )Others on my table had finished their meal by the time I got my meal having asked twice where it was. 1.5hrs for luggage to be delivered to the room. Mosquito repellent plug in had no socket in the room that it would fit into (when I eventually found it hidden in a cupboard. Consequently I am home and still have mosquito bites all over my legs. I would not recommend particularly if you are in the lagoon wing. It's miles from anywhere in the rest of the hotel.

I was apprehensive at fiest as Anataras Tangalle has an excellent location and the Kalutara one is different location however I cannot begin to express how awesome this place is. Lakshan the front office manager makes u feel completely at home and very attentive to things we needed, kaushi was very helpful and susita was so so wonderful. Excellent team, lovely restaurants, brilliant service and was a very peaceful 5 days. Thank you and hope we can send more clients your way.

Without a doubt Anantara Kalutara is one of the most favorite and beautiful properties we have visited. This is i guess our 5th time visiting and definitely will revisit. The surrounding, food and the service is remarkable. Especially Would like to thank Shalindra Muthukumara and all of the staff for making our stay a memorable one everytime. They are always very attentive and helpful . Definitely a place we will visit again and again.
