HOTEL AO KAMAKURA

I originally booked a well-established hotel, but then I saw this one had a better location and decided to switch. I'm so glad I made that choice; I'm extremely satisfied! Firstly, the location is superb, just a three-minute walk from the Enoden Koshigoe Station. The Koshigoe coast is right across the street. Kamakura High School is one stop ahead, and Enoshima is one stop behind, both within walking distance. Going for a run on the beach after breakfast in the morning felt amazing. The room was new, spacious, and clean, with modern, minimalist amenities, unlike the typical Japanese hotel setup. The shower room was high-end, and toiletries were complete. The details were exquisite. The green tea, black tea, and coffee were all of excellent quality. There was plenty of drinking water in the room (two bottles at room temperature and two in the refrigerator), the towels were incredibly soft, and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast set menu in the restaurant was delicious. I also tried their soba noodles for dinner, which were reasonably priced. There's also a rooftop terrace; on a clear day, the view is breathtaking. In short, if you're planning to stay overnight in Kamakura, I highly recommend staying here. It's a little pricey, though. Hopefully the price won't go up next time I come, haha!

Having been to Kamakura many times, I always felt that the beachfront lacked a good hotel. The Prince was nice, but it was old, and with so many guests it wasn't very quiet, and it wasn't close enough to the beach. The AO completely filled that void; it's everything a boutique beachfront hotel should be, and it even has a fantastic restaurant!

The hotel has a great location and excellent service. The hotel breakfast was very good. We were on a road trip, and the parking lot was right next to the hotel, which was very convenient.

I highly recommend this hotel. It's not far from the university. The service is also very good. The breakfast is very rich. I like it very much.
