The hinoki bath in the room was absolutely wonderful.

Charming onsen hotel located 5 min drive from Kaminoyama station. A shuttle pick up can be arranged with the hotel ahead of time available from 1430-1800. It’s a relatively dated property but well maintained. A small public onsen with a rotenburo, and a small private onsen within the room comfortable for two. The spring water through the property is the same. Meals provided are extensive, balanced and nutritious featuring local specialities like yam, Yamagata and Yonezawa beef. Drinks are offered at the lounge in the afternoon from 1700, morning coffee and tea available from 0800. Overall a comfortable and luxurious stay.

We went for a ski trip and stayed in Hayamakan. Staffs greeted us very friendly, and introduced the facilities. Location was great - close to Yamagata and Zao Ski Resort. Breakfasts were amazing!

Great ryokan. A view is amazing as the hotel is on a hill. It's the best when hot water tub is in the room and with the view.

Best ryokan to stay during my trip, direct email hotel to confirm shuttle service from Kaminoyaonsen JR station. Stunning mountain view from our room, although the room with onsen bath, we still love the public bath, environment is very clean. Foods are on par and service and environment from the ryokan is really good

The environment is first-class, the facilities are excellent, the room view is excellent, the hot spring is also quite good, and there is a private indoor hot spring. Both meals are in separate rooms, and the service is also very good. You can make an appointment for the hotel to pick you up from the station, which is a perfect experience.

The room is very large, the water in the pool is kept warm for a long time and can be dipped at any time, the footbath on the terrace is very comfortable with a view, two meals a day are plentiful and there are private rooms.

The hotel is generally satisfactory. The room is big enough for a family of 4. The environment is very clean. We stayed for 3 days. The breakfast and dinner were different every day and very rich. It would be more convenient to drive yourself.

"Snowy Hot Spring Japanese Hotel" is very cozy and comfortable overall. The hotel offers one night and two meals. Dinner time can be selected at 6:30 or 7:00, and breakfast time can be selected at 7:30 or 8:00. It is a traditional Japanese meal with various side dishes, and of course there are delicious ingredients and dishes. The hot spring has a large bath and a private bath in the room. If you go to the large bath at night, it is basically a private bath. Fortunately, I encountered a severe cold wave on the day I was there. It was snowing lightly in Kamiyama City. I soaked in the hot spring while enjoying the light snow for breakfast, and my heart softened, so much so that the 4-year-old baby and the 30-year-old baby didn't want to leave.

Shangshan Onsen♨️ is great. Each room has a private bath and a small garden. Sanitation: very clean. The Japanese-style tatami room is very comfortable. Environment: very quiet. Garden-style hotel. Service: very considerate. The front desk will inform the shuttle bus time.
