Radisson Resort Skiathos

Amazing staff , great clean hotel and three minute walk from Kanapitsa beach . We had a week here in June and received a great welcome and had such amazing tips and recommendations from the reception team . Thanks Katerina and Stratos for all your help and advice . The breakfast was great and well organised by Kelly and her team . Lovely pool and great rooms with sea view . I would recommend that the emergency lights in the room were dimmed as were very bright and on throughout the night . Apart from that we had a great time and would definitely stay again . S & D

We are currently staying here. We booked the Radisson as a last minute mini honeymoon because it has a good name. We paid for a standard room which already was not cheap. We were put in a room in the “block B” which is behind the main building and treated like a separate entity, something not mentioned anywhere on their website. Upon arrival we both agreed the hotel did not seem like a 4-star but more like a 3-star, today I think even less. The walls are thin, it is so noisy, we hear people talking and shouting. Since yesterday we have had no hot water and no WiFi. I told reception this morning and they said “yes in block B we only have solar panels so yesterday was cloudy so there is no hot water” and “in block B the WiFi signal is not good, but it works here”. I said no, there is no WiFi at all, it disappeared last night and never came back and he said “oh I will tell someone” but there is still no WiFi. We paid €850 for 5 nights in a 4 star hotel, I think the minimum you could expect would be hot water and WiFi. The staff don’t seem to care at all. There is one girl who works the evening shift in reception who is very nice and has helped us with booking restaurants.

We had a 1 night stop over ….it’s was enough….having said that the waiting staff and reception staff are very nice . Pool closes at 7pm a rather fetching red and white barrier went up and didn’t open until 11am next day ! Booked dinner at 8pm to be told while having drinks at 7.30pm at the bar it had been moved to 8.30pm . Eventually sat down down at 9pm . No black pepper grinder or mint tea . Caesar salad was ok . The waiting staff were trying their best whilst managers a woman and a man sat at the bar drinking !! Then sat down for dinner adding more pressure to the staff . Breakfast ok wanted a parasol up but that couldn’t happen until 9am !!! ….and male manager at bar smoking with his ash blowing over me - I kindling asked him to move . It’s a shame the managers feel it’s beneath them to get their hands dirty when things got very busy and help the staff. The rooms were clean and it’s served it purpose for 1 night but never again . It’s not the place for young children or a holiday .

We booked the hotel literally 2 hours before arrival as our sailing yacht was not ready for a week trip. Easy to get here by taxi and the hotel is nicely located in a quiet corner of the island with a small beach a few metres away where there wasa lovely restaurant. Hotel is white, clean, great pool and good breakfast. It is a standard hotel but if you booked a room with sea view, you had good views. Small bathroom though, is for one person at a time only. I would not stay here for a week holiday but for a one night on our way to Alonnisos, it was fine.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel and we loved it! The staff is wonderful, all the receptionists are so helpful and friendly,the bar staff are very efficient and the manager is extremely welcoming. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to the floods and bad weather but we were very sad to do so. It was a very difficult time for the staff but they were incredible and tried to help us as much as they could through these difficult few days ( no water nor electricity) and constant rain! So well done guys, we hope to come back next year and stay with you again. We also liked our bedroom with sea view, nice breakfast and a great location in Kanapista bay with a lovely taverna on the beach and can’t wait to be back next year and see all your friendly faces. We stayed there for 2 weeks and we loved it! the hotel was perfect, location was wonderful with easy access to beaches and restaurants and the staff were the best thing about the venue! Thank you for your amazing service and hospitality! Would definitely stay there again!

This is my third stay at this hotel but the first since it’s renovation. The rooms are definitely an improvement but the staff definitely aren’t. The manager is decidedly unfriendly (& conversations with other guests confirmed I wasn’t the only one feeling this way), she seemed much more interested in chatting & laughing with other members of staff than making the guests feel welcome, in fact it took me a few days to realise she wasn’t just another guest propping up the bar & enjoying the hotel breakfast. In fact most of the staff were as unfriendly as her. Sadly, the change of staff has ruined what was a warm, welcoming Greek hotel & I (along with quite a few other guests I spoke to) won’t be returning.

The hotel is newly renovated and is located in a quite peaceful place, it has a beautiful pool and is close to the beach (although there are much more beautiful beaches on the island). The breakfast is super great with good quality products. The staff welcoming and professional. The rooms are nice although I will suggest to put thicker mattresses on the sofa bed and to fix clothes hangers both in the room and in the bathroom.

I can't quite figure out the low reviews on this hotel as it was really really wonderful. Clean, elegant, great staff, excellent bar, great food (limited but what there was available was wonderful), breakfast had endless choices. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. My only complaint is learn to use the AC before you go to bed, as that is a bit hard to figure out at first. We loved the staff, particularly one of the bar tenders could not have been kinder and more accommodating (I did not get her name but she had blonde hair). The pool is lovely and had plenty of seating and tables. One of my favorite things about this hotel? The ease to get to the tavern and boat/SUP rental and beach just down the road. The restaurant was amazing, great food, clean, friendly. There's a beach in front with chair rentals and umbrellas ($15 euros). You can get a drink from the restaurant bar and bring it to your chair. It was absolutely lovely and when I was there (peak season) it was pretty easy to get a chair and umbrella. There is a family run boating business to the right of the restaurant that is incredible! You want to feel cared for and have a bunch of incredible options (tours to other beaches with a boat captain, private rentals, SUP's, they will take you inter tubing on one of their boats, kayaking, etc...and they were the nicest family and you felt like you were part of their community. The hotel is a little bit far from the port town but there is a water ferry right at the Tavern down the road that can take you into town for, I believe around 5 Euros. You can also take a cab into town for around 20 euros. I would NOT drive there, not even a scooter, unless you've driven there before. The bus stop is a bit far and I would not want to walk there. The reviews on here made me anxious, I was scared I was not going to like the hotel, and I will say, I had nothing to worry about and I do have high standards. This was exactly what we wanted and needed. If you are going to Skiathos, this was a fantastic option. I'd LOVE to go back.
