Beautiful property, genuine service, very bad location , next to a major road and can hear car/ truck traffic all day long. Rooms are too close to the restaurant area which made it very noisy early in the morning if you wish to sleep.

Looking for a beautiful restored estate home with impeccable service and delicious dining? Choose Taru Villa!  We spent three days exploring Kandy and neighboring region. The hotel is tucked behind some commercial buildings, but once the gates open and you move up the driveway, it all fades away. The hotel is elegant with an attention to details. Each space is carefully arranged to make you feel comfortable.  The staff are what really makes Taru Villa shine. Led by the hotel manager, the staff are welcoming and warm. You couldn’t ask for anything more. The food was excellent. The conversation was even better. We highly recommend to anyone. Well done Taru Villa, well done!

As soon as you enter the door, it feels like you have entered another world. The biggest feature of the hotel is that the dinner is so delicious. The cooking skills and taste are comparable to those of a five-star chef. Anyway, I like it 😘

We were the only ones staying that night, which was a good experience. The service was good. However, there wasn't much to do nearby. The food was good. Foreigners have their own rules; they wouldn't upgrade if there was only one person staying.

The curry and rice for dinner were both delicious and beautifully presented. There was some noise from insects chirping at night and trains passing after 6 a.m., so there was some noise. For example, room #1 is right next to the restaurant corridor, so the soundproofing was average. At under 1,000 yuan per night, I think the value is much better than the Eleven Hotels in China. This villa is part of a chain with about nine locations. I hope their business continues to grow.

The passion fruit, lemon and mint ice cream that came instead of a welcome drink was absolutely delicious! It was a homemade ice cream on a stick, and it was probably the best thing I ate in Sri Lanka! The interior of the hotel was very tasteful and had a great atmosphere.
