Lunaris Hotel

The location is very convenient, and the area around is lively. However, the hotel doesn't have a parking lot. Nearby parking costs around 300-400 per day. Your best bet is finding a street parking spot if possible. The soundproofing in the room isn't great. While you can't hear the street noise, you can clearly hear cleaning activities in other rooms and the sound of running water. The bed is a bit firm but comfortable, so you won't wake up with a backache. The room itself is quite spacious, and the bathroom and toilet are separate, which is a nice touch.

Excellent stay! The front desk lady with glasses was incredibly patient during check-in. Although I had to wait a bit as she was on the phone, the process was smooth afterward, and she explained all the important details. I was lucky enough to get an upgraded room, which was very comfortable. The bathroom and toilet were separate (wet and dry areas), the room was bright and airy, and the bed was super comfy. The soundproofing does have a slight issue, but it didn't bother my sleep (just my personal opinion!). The sound insulation between rooms was fine; the main issue might be if a loud motorcycle suddenly speeds past outside the window, but that's unavoidable. What's particularly worth mentioning is the water dispenser – it's really advanced and even has temperature control. I'm not used to not having a kettle, but this definitely saves a lot of water! The front desk staff, both male and female, were all very patient. They answered all my questions about laundry (the hotel doesn't have laundry service, but there's a 24-hour coin-operated self-service laundry next to it) and travel. The hotel's location is super convenient; it's just a short walk to Pier 2 Art Center, perfect for a city walk. There are a couple of small details I think could be improved: one is that there are no hooks or shelves in the bathroom to hang clothes, and the other is that the lighting for the sink and toilet seems to be integrated. If you need to put on makeup, the light might not be quite enough (?). Overall, I had a very pleasant three days in Kaohsiung (the only minor drawback was not having sunny weather and encountering continuous typhoon rain). I hope the hotel continues to improve!

The hotel was great, close to Yanchengpu Station and had plenty of restaurants nearby. The facilities were clean and pleasant, but the soundproofing was a bit disappointing. I kept waking up because of the loud rain. Other than that, everything else was satisfactory.

I was upgraded from a standard room to a corner room this time, which I really appreciate. Even though the corner room had a city view, being on the 7th floor still felt very atmospheric. Looking out from inside, the design was great, and the overall design of both the room and the lobby was excellent. A big plus was the very reasonable price I booked on Trip. A few minor drawbacks include: • Since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, there's no ice or microwave service. • Only tea bags were provided, no coffee, which was a little disappointing. • There were no hooks in the bathroom, making it a bit inconvenient when changing clothes, especially for business travelers. I hope these points can be improved in the future.

The accommodation is clean, well-located, and conveniently close to the BTS Skytrain, as well as many tourist attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and a 7/11 nearby.

The room was incredibly spacious, and the location couldn't be better. There's a bus stop right downstairs and a subway station next door – it's only two stops to Liuhe Night Market! Plus, there are convenience stores and a few ********* drink shops nearby. The staff were super friendly too!

The hotel's location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk from Yanchengpu MRT station, making it very convenient to visit Pier-2 Art Center and Yancheng Old Street. The room decor is new and modern. However, the towels were dirty and still had hair on them when I took them out. The bathroom drain had a severe foul odor, it was really stinky. The hotel staff confirmed the issue in person in the early hours of the morning. They then suggested opening the window, but the noise was very loud, making it impossible to sleep all night! I asked the front desk to change my room the next day, but they refused, claiming there were no rooms available. However, I could see rooms still being sold on the booking platform. The hotel was unwilling to offer compensation or a refund directly and instead told guests to apply for a refund themselves through the booking platform. They were unwilling to confirm the room's equipment malfunction with the platform internally, pushing all responsibility for the dispute onto the guest. The hardware is new, but when it comes to room equipment malfunctions, their after-sales service is very inflexible. Travelers who are sensitive to smells or value good after-sales service should book with caution. Be sure to thoroughly inspect the entire room immediately upon check-in.

Hygiene: The toilet had a backflow odor. Closing the toilet door and turning on the exhaust fan didn't help (though the fan made noise). The layout was strange; the shoe rack and disposable slippers were in the innermost wardrobe, not by the entrance. The water dispenser filter might not have been changed on time, as the water from it had a taste. The water pressure was excellent. The lobby's air conditioning was stronger than in the room.
