The best part of the hotel by far is the 9 heated pools with a creative array of very powerful water jets and bubbles. And steam and sauna rooms. (Also a pool and gym w free group classes but didn’t bother) a dream!! Soaked in the pools for 2h a day. The hotel is connected to a mall and a 10min walk to the red line mrt. Rooms are large and new. Hands down favorite part of my kaohsiung stay. Highly recommend.

The service is great! Concierge is really helpful when you ask them questions or requests. Facility is really good, especially the spa and jacuzzi! The location is incredibly convenient when the shopping mall is located in 2-7th floor. I had the best breakfast this morning.

The room is not big enough, quite not like a 5 star with international brand quality. The hotel is connected with a mall, but surrounding area is still under construction so that the dust coved the hotel window. The service is not fit to its brand name, less staff with less warm service.

We’ve stayed in Marriotts around the world and this was our favorite! The hotel is beautiful with top-notch service. Incredible breakfast and the most amazing spa/pool I’ve ever seen. Wish we had stayed longer! Definitely coming back.

So far my best experience with kaohsiung is with this hotel; if i ever visit, this hotel will be my first or top choices, cos i hvnt try inter continental hotel at Kaohsiung yet.

the goods- good location connected to malls, rooms are clean and up to standard
the bad- service is ok but some staff can have “enforcer” type mentality with covid mask wearing regulations. understand it is supposedly for everyones safety but a gentle reminder wont hurt cause after-all you are in a service industry. we came from a country where mask wearing enforcement is lenient, but we dont in any way want to disrespect taiwan’s regulations - it was an innocent mistake but the staff attitude can be greatly improved. the hotel is really busy and facilities were crowded (jan 2023).
