The Mauian Hotel

We arrived early and was told to come back at 3pm. I asked to check in and not get the room so I can compare the cost to the reservation but was told That we can only check in when the room was ready. At 4pm the office closes so basically there is an hour window to check in at the office or later you have to call security. There was an unexpected up charge for having kids in the same room so we decided to cancel the reservation. The hotel agreed to the cancelation.

EVERYTHING was good EXCEPT the was NO TV in the room. To watch any TV one had to walk to a community room to watch whatever anyone else happened to be watching. We don't watch a lot of TV but in the latter part of the day it would really be nice to have to round out the evening. Other people we talked to had the same opinion. The place was very nice BUT we probably would NOT stay there again! Frank. PS we were there 5 days

We were pleasantly surprised! The grounds were beautiful and well maintained and it was steps away from a wonderful sandy beach! The hotel provided beach towels, beach chairs and even had a drying rack on the lanai to try our swimsuits and towels. To rooms were clean and there was air conditioning!!! The only downside... there was bath soap, shampoo and conditioner but no little amenities like shower caps and moisturizers but everything else made up for it. Would definitely go here again!!!

The grounds were very well maintained, quite beautiful and peaceful. Kudos to the gardener. Great location, however, the rooms and furnitures were so dated and smelly. The bed was very uncomfortable. Had a restless night. This would have been a 5 star review if the rooms were updated and didn’t have that musty smell.

My girlfriend and I had a great time at the Mauian, even though it was just one night. Very kind and helpful staff and speedy check-in. The overall property is relatively small, and you feel like you have your own little beach condo instead of a hotel room. I loved being able to walk right into the room from the garden area. Lovely location on Napili Bay, where you can enjoy the nice calm water and good sunsets. Also Sea House is just 3 minutes away down the beach, awesome restaurant with amazing food and views. Room itself was great too! Very comfy bed, nice and firm foamy feel. And for once in my life, I was given a hotel pillow that wasn't made of printer paper. Very nice. Would definitely stay again!

The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbours. Also, we were on the first floor. You could hear the guest upstairs. The grounds were lovely. Definately not a restful sleep.

Loved our ocean view lanai on the second floor. Great beach access and access to trails. Classic Hawaiian style family hotel. Will come back next year!
