Ahmet and his wife were so welcoming and helpful - really made us feel at home and provided great recommendations for local restaurants. Really comfy, warm and well-designed rooms - there's also a drying room for ski gear. Great breakfast spread and beautiful views of the mountains in the distance from our room. There's parking too if you have hired a car. We will definitely stay at Hillside when we ski in Karakol again!

We lived in Hillside Karakol during our winter holidays. The building and rooms were very warm and clean. Cosy place with soft beds and excellent linen. Delicious and rich breakfast. Responsive owners and enjoyable atmosphere Will definitely be back.

The best place to stay in Karakol. We stayed there for 5 nights and we discovered from there all the region hiking every day in different valley (Ak-Suu, Jeti Oguz, Jyrgalan, Altyn Arash) . Ahmet, the owner, is the kindest, most welcoming and helpful person we could find. He advised us on wonderful walks but above all he helped us in an indispensable way with the local police. We lost our passports and without him it would have been impossible to solve the problems. He also helped us with taxis, market and translations. Hillside is an oasis of tranquillity, the rooms as clean as the whole building. The common area the ideal place to relax after a long hiking. The breakfasts were excellent. Super fast wifi. To be recommended to anyone who wants to stay in Karakol. We love it!!!

Hillside was the nicest place we stayed during two weeks in Kyrgyzstan. There is a clear attention to detail in the design of the place, leading to a very comfortable building and rooms. The family who owns the business is also very welcoming and helpful, cooking a great breakfast, helping to arrange tours and even driving us to the bus station. Overall, everything was top notch, and we enjoyed our time here relaxing after the tough trek to Ala-Kul. I highly recommend!

During the motorcycle trip to Kyrgyzstan with my husband and two other friends, we slept 4 nights in August in Karakol and Hillside was the perfect place to stay. Cozy, well-kept, impeccably managed, clean and organized hotel. A strategic stopping point. In a green corner, in the residential area of the city, the hotel is a happy and very comfortable island. Easily accessible and with nearby convenience stores. Delicious and varied breakfast. The center can be reached on foot with a pleasant walk or alternatively with a few minutes by taxi. The owner, who runs it together with his wife, speaks excellent English. He is a special person. Courteous, helpful and present. Help guests with all their needs. In short, I absolutely recommend the hillside. A beautiful place to rest and sip your coffee on the veranda among the flowers and the magic of the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. Margherita and Stefano

Very nice atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Very good standard and super clean rooms. The owners also are very friendly. I recommend to every one who stay at the Karakol during trip in Kirgistan. Very very very good!

Планировали на одну ночь остаться, но напутали с другим бронированием, и в итоге с удовольствием все в четвертом остались ещё на одну ночь. И не хотелось уезжать из Каракола, так понравилось размещение. Все идеально, интерьеры, сервис, шикарная терраса со столовой и кухней, библиотека из хорошей литературы, в т..ч. современный бестселлер "Черный лебедь" Талеба, Мураками, Коэльо и много чего ещё. Возможность приготовить еду на хорошо оборудованной кухне. Вкусные завтраки, совершенно потрясающее абрикосовое варенье. Очень приятные хозяева с милыми детьми, хотя я к чужим маленьким детям равнодушна в принципе. Всегда радуюсь, когда встречаю профи в любом деле. Ахмет - супер профессионально выстроил свою гостиницу и по концепции и по реализации. Сразу видно, что человек имеет профессиональное образование в своей области и его полностью использует. В общем - реальность превзошла ожидания. Придраться можно только к тому, что нет кондиционера и в жаркую погоду на втором этаже утром солнце может нагревать восточную сторону. Ну и ночью могут соседские собаки лаять, кому то это может мешать уснуть, мне не мешало, т.к. своя собака на даче лает куда громче. Кроме того, собак в Караколе много, так что везде может быть слышен их лай. Свою цену отель абсолютно оправдывает. В Чолпон -Ата примерно в ту же цену и близко не лежал отель, где мы жили три ночи. Разница как между советским пансионатом и сетевым испанским отелем типа Iberotel
