Fufu Kyu-Karuizawa Restful Forest

I booked this hotel for my birthday, and I've always loved its style. Aside from the high price, everything else was great. It's a bit of a distance from Qingjing Station, about a 100 RMB taxi ride. The only downside is there's construction going on nearby.

Fantastic environment, delicious food, and excellent service!

This was the best onsen hotel experience so far. We were satisfied in every aspect, especially the bathing area, which was truly fantastic. The bed and pillows ensured a good night's sleep. The bar was decent, and breakfast was better than dinner. I'd recommend staying at least 2-3 nights. However, I would suggest improving the ventilation in the dining area. In winter, the heating is very strong, and the teppanyaki fumes are very strong and difficult to breathe in. This is probably the only area we feel needs improvement.

We changed to this room type at Fufu Tranquil Forest Hotel for our second night, and it was also very nice. The room was spacious, and the staff thoughtfully arranged for us to stay in the same room as last night. The warm smiles of the hotel staff left a very good impression on us. We will definitely choose Tranquil Forest Hotel again next time we come to Karuizawa. Highly recommended!

Compared to the previous Sunshine Wind restaurant, this one has a more relaxed, old-fashioned feel. The service remains excellent. The food was impeccable. Breakfast was different each day, showcasing local specialties. Dinner was teppanyaki one night and kaiseki the other, creating a truly ceremonial atmosphere. Starting at 5 PM, they offer free drinks and snacks during happy hour. I'll definitely be back.

Excellent hotel, near Kumoba Pond, perfect for solo travelers. Fufu has a set menu for one person, but it's a bit limited. The food at Tranquility Forest was fantastic, both visually appealing and delicious. I was curious about another restaurant, Sunshine Wind, and asked the staff to book lunch there for the next day, which was also perfect. Rooms and furnishings at Tranquility Forest vary slightly, but each one is luxurious, with a 24-hour heated hot spring and surrounded by forest. Staying here is truly relaxing.
