"Overall it was a great stay. The pros: Facilities were great. Log cabins were clean and cosy. Staff were attentive if you needed assistance. Bath house was out of this world, especially the outdoor section. West high speed ski lift was out of order, and some ski runs not operating as normal, but the skiing was great. You can also order pizza delivery to your room if you wish. The cons: TV's in the cabins were japanese channels only and old TV's. If only they could update TV's or provide a Fire Stick so you can cast Netflix on request. Courtesy bus system was confusing, but once you got the hang of it it was ok. If your staying in cabins your meant to bring you ski gear with you. Would be nice if you could leave it at the ski slopes, and not have to carry it back to the cabins. Breakfast is expensive, so we got convenience store food for breakfast each morning"

"Hotel is located about a 20 min walk from JR Karuizawa. If you have luggage, probably easier to take a taxi from the Jr station. The front office staff are friendly and helpful and make me feel very welcome at the hotel. Room is spacious and clean with a kitchenette equipped with a microwave oven . Very useful ! Hotel is close proximity to a supermarket and bakery. Definitely will stay at this hotel when I return to Karuizawa."

"Hotel is in a great location, about 700m straightline walk from karuizawa train station. Room is compact but you have everything and is clean, amenities are provided at the lobby and you can take as needed, such as toner, cleanser and cream, hair brush, toothbrush, there's even body scrub. There's drinks provided for guests, you can have tea or coffee at all times. Hotel breakfast comes in brunch menu, food is nice and fresh. There's a also a lot of restaurants along this street so not to worry."

"Our one-night stay at Hotel Karuizawa Cross was absolutely wonderful! The Superior Bunk Room was perfect for our group of six—spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed to ensure everyone had a comfortable and cozy space to rest. The bunk beds were sturdy and well-maintained, and the room had a warm, inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. While the breakfast options were simple and limited, the quality and taste more than made up for it. The homely, delicious meal was a great way to start our day, and it felt like we were enjoying a homemade breakfast prepared with care. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming vibe of the hotel. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Hotel Karuizawa Cross to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to visit again!"

"The hotel is brand new. The room is lovely and so spacious! The bed was huge and it was comfortable, we all slept well every night. Staff were courteous and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel location is also perfect, right on old karuizawa ginza street with many food and shopping options nearby during the day. The breakfast options were very limited and the food was the same every day, so I found it a challenge to feed my toddler. Basic food items like cereal and slice bread were not available. The fruit options were also limited and not the most child friendly e.g. pineapple, grapefruit and grapes. Also, the rooms are not made every day but you can request for the staff to clean and make the room. Overall we still had a great stay and hope to visit again soon."

"Karuizawa is a beautiful and quiet town, easily accessible from Tokyo station with Hokuriku Shinkansen. The room is very spacious relative to Tokyo hotel room size. This hotel is not super near to the JR station but is acceptable for solo traveller like me. It is around 10 to 15mins work, depending on your pace. This hotel has a timeless village cottage vibe! Definitely worth a visit!"
