Patara Prince Hotel & Resort - Special Category

Loved everything about it. It's in a great location, and the city and sunset views are simply magnificent. It's the most beautiful hotel with a wonderful garden.

The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, which is its biggest plus. It has its own private beach with direct deep-water access via stairs. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and my birthday, which I mentioned in the booking comments, but the hotel didn't acknowledge it at all. Don't expect any complimentary gestures from them. That's a huge minus for them, but I won't lower my rating because of it. There's no toothpaste in the room, so keep that in mind – this isn't Russia. The food is expensive; a can of Coke at the bar was 650 rubles, and a hamburger was 1600 rubles.

The room was truly indescribable. The facilities resembled those of 1970s Europe. My two friends and I stayed there, and they gave us two girls a very remote room on the ground floor. The lighting was dim, and the TV was a bulky CRT model. The security seemed questionable. We then switched rooms with our friends. The staff in the new room refused to help us with our luggage, claiming the luggage handlers had gone off duty. However, we saw the supposedly off-duty staff walk right past us. It's ridiculous that such a large hotel doesn't have any staff! Then, in the new room, there were no charging outlets by the bed – inexplicable! Water was also unavailable; we had to buy it ourselves! Furthermore, this large hotel didn't have its own main restaurant, so there was nowhere to eat. We asked a staff member downstairs, and initially, they said it was around 250 euros per person. Then, the manager arrogantly said there were no seats available, mentioning their "Sicilian Night" event. We could clearly see many empty seats in our room! This awful hotel was terrible; we paid money but couldn't even get food. Finally, after hiking for a long time, we reached a supermarket to buy snacks to tide us over! This hotel treated white people with servility and Asians with arrogance, discriminating against them! Terrible! The worst hotel I've ever stayed in, the most run-down hotel ever. Asians, avoid this place!

This was my second stay, and the scenery and value for money were both good. However, upon check-out this time, I discovered that the flag bearing the inscription "****" was being displayed, which is highly inappropriate. I have already stated my position to the hotel staff: Taiwan is part of China, and there is only one China in the world. I hope the hotel will respect the One China principle, replace the flag with the correct one, and adhere to basic principles.

The most satisfying hotel of my trip to Turkey wasn't in Kaş, but in Kalkan, which was very convenient to get to by car. It had a perfect Mediterranean resort feel, quiet and serene, with a pool right next to the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel also had its own cliffside area with crystal-clear water, and breakfast was standard.

The room was quite old-fashioned, all the facilities looked like they were from the last century, but as a hotel for a break along the D400 highway, I think it's highly recommended. The price wasn't expensive, and the hotel's location is very close to the town of Kalkan, where you can see the town lights at night, so I felt very safe. The hotel was very quiet. As we Chinese are in a time difference (early to bed, early to rise), I had dinner at 7 PM, and I was the only one at the table. Where were all the other people sunbathing in the afternoon? The hotel staff didn't speak much English, and the hotel elevator was quite interesting—it was one of those old-fashioned elevators. Even funnier, the staff said that no more than three people could share an elevator, so they split us into two. It was a fantastic experience. Drinking on the balcony overlooking the entire Mediterranean Sea was amazing, and it only cost 800 yuan a night. With such high value for money, there's no need to complain. I even got a tan, saving me the money I would have spent on a tanning treatment, which was great! 👍

The room decor was a bit dated but acceptable. The service was friendly, and the scenery, pool, and sea were beautiful, making for a good swimming experience. However, the restaurant was absolutely terrible. For someone who enjoys all food, it was rare to experience such blandness. We stayed in hotels all the way from Istanbul, and this hotel's food was consistently dry, expensive, and tasteless. It's also a bit far from the town, making it inconvenient to eat out. Another complaint is that bottled water wasn't provided daily, only on the first day. In short, I came here based on recommendations from online bloggers, but the actual experience was really poor. I hope this review will reach more Chinese travelers, so they can choose carefully.

We stayed in the ocean view suite. The bed was large enough for two adults and one child. The hotel's strengths include beautiful public areas with a dedicated wading pool for children. The downside was that the rooms were a bit old, but the beautiful Mediterranean Sea view from the balcony made us temporarily overlook the room's age. The air conditioning in the room was excellent, which was very important. The service was also good. Overall, we were quite satisfied.
