Room was clean.
Rooms in the new wing are brighter and more modern but you can hear the music from the disco pub next door. They run till very late in the weekends. If you are a light sleeper this might be a problem. Amenities in room is lesser than on the old wing.
Old wing rooms faces the main road. Comes with a balcony but don’t think anyone will sit there due to the dust and haze.
Last thing, Housekeeping didn’t really come clean on my missing items. But thanks to reception staff for checking. So make sure you double triple check the room before leaving. Overall it was a good stay.

The hotel had an old world charm. Great introduction to Nepali hospitality and culture. Its in the vicinity of some clubs so expect music until late in the evening. It was also centrally located in the Thamel district, a couple of blocks away from Kathmandu Durbar Square

My experience with this hotel was perfect, beginning to end. I am so grateful to have stayed here. The rooms were gorgeous: well-designed, comfortable, spacious. I stayed there before and after my Everest Base Camp trek, so I had the opportunity to stay in both wings of the hotel. Both lovely. The food is fresh and delicious. I ate at the restaurant and ordered room service multiple times and everything was always perfect (and well-priced). The bartender was also really talented and made some incredible one of a kind beverages for our group. It’s centrally located, and a thoughtfully restored historic building. Would be nice for a conference - had a nice meeting room and several smaller spaces. I hope to go back someday.

1000 stars would not be enough for this hotel and restaurant along with the staff the are very helpful in any they can be the rooms are very nice and clean with all the modern conveniences. Location is walking distance to shopping and night life but still a nice quiet place to relax the staff always goes above and beyond. I highly recommend this hotel.

One of the finest NICHE hotel with complete local decor, tradition and character. Very well maintained to the extend of world class experience. Rooms decors, tapestries, bed linens, toiletries, towels, beds are awesome and very well placed. Breakfast is immensely and intelligently offered, catering to foreign clients. Restaurant is worth visiting.
