We read reviews from other guests and took the plunge, booking 2 nights at Ajeet's Hostel. It was definitely the right decision, as we ended up staying for 6 nights! The value for money is fantastic. The building is clean and was constructed just a couple of years ago. The bed is huge, and there's a hot water shower. Staying here also means sharing the experience with his family, as they run the place in a very personal and welcoming way. It's only 200 meters from the Monkey Temple and the National Museum. They'll help you with anything you need. A big thank you to Ajeet and his family!

My health was poor and I was weary being in a country I didn’t understand yet. I felt confused. From the moment I walked in, the owner put be at ease. I felt that I could finally exhale. I could sense it that while there what he offered was true. He said to feel that the place was as my home and he & his family were as my family. They made me truly feel as such. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and modern. The hot shower was a luxury. My lodging was quite economical but what I was given was priceless. There is a reason this place has such high reviews. I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you, Sparkling Turtle. I wish you much success and happiness! Thank you for your generosity!

Very clean hostel and very accommodating and helpful owner and staff. I stayed in a private room with a balcony with an amazing view of Kathmandu city. They also have a nice rooftop to chill and relax. There are nice restaurants, cafes and bars all within walking distance from the hostel.

We had a fantastic time at Sparkling Turtle Backpackers in Kathmandu. The atmosphere was super relaxed and friendly perfect for travelers. The owner were incredibly helpful and always ready with great tips for exploring the city and beyond. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas had a nice vibe where you could just chill after a day of sightseeing with a drink or a book. The location is a bit away from the noisy center, which we really appreciated. It’s peaceful, but still easy to get other attractions. Highly recommended for backpackers and budget travelers looking for a cozy, welcoming place in Kathmandu. Would definitely stay here again!

That place felt like home. The owner and his family were incredibly friendly. And services are very good! Everything is very clean, and the environment is very peaceful. If anyone is visiting for work or exam, sparkling will be a perfect stay! This place is also affordable.

Me and my sister had a wonderful time at the Sparkling Turtle! The host, Ajeet, was very welcoming and the hostel was nice and clean. The location was also very good, getting a super pretty view of the city and mountains. Will definitely stay there again when we come back ☺️

It was very fresh, clean room and clean toilet/shower. The owners are very welcoming and generous. The area is less touristy than thamel.

I've stayed at the Sparkling Turtle hostel for 2 nights and then, after few days another night. The owner of the place is very hospitable and is willing to help with everything! I've come without a booked a tour and permit and his friend came the next day to help sort it out in half an hour. Rooms were cleaned very well and have everything I need. Ambience felt a bit empty as I was expecting more guests and talks with other travellers. Perhaps I was just unlucky as it's not a peak season. It's located a bit away from the city centre but that gives a nice view from the room and rooftop.

The ambience of the place is very nice, the view from the balcony is the best and the rooms and bathrooms are also very neat and clean, the beds and pillows are very comfy, i had a very good experience of my stay at the sparkling turtle and i would recommend everyone to visit this place
