Completely neglected and misleading, if you compare to photos on their website I toured the premises in high season and was genuinely shocked at the state of neglect. Even the plants and trees look sad and dry, clearly not watered for ages, At least not a green leaves to be seen, And a living plant in a flower pot. There’s rubbish in the driveway corners, a broken-off fence near the seaside, and overall no sign of maintenance or care, or any interest making an effort. Tennis court..... I am sorry, a deserted grave yard with grave stones removed would be a more suitable description. Not used for ages. Only the net gives away the former function Lighting is poor to non-existent, with lamp posts not working, and if standing crooked or not standing up at all, The restaurant and bar area were almost all unlit and closed, with staff standing around bored and nothing happening. It felt almost completely deserted despite being peak season. Staff being very polite, friendly and helpful though. Strangely, many of the best online ratings seem to come from French reviewers—which I find hard to believe. I doubt even the French would consider this level of decay acceptable, so it really makes you question how up-to-date or genuine those reviews are. Honestly, it’s sad because you can see this place was once decent, but it’s now so run-down I doubt it will even be open next season if nothing changes. The so-called beach is also a huge disappointment: there is no real sand at all, only pebbles and boulders, and access is via a broken, crumbling asphalt ramp. Nothing like the “golden bay” shown in their promotional photos. Advice: Don’t rely on old photos or outdated positive reviews. Check for very recent guest pictures and feedback before you even think about booking. There are much better-maintained alternatives in the Sitia area

This place is a hidden gem and truly a little piece of heaven. William and his team took excellent care of us and were absolutely lovely. The location is perfect, as if the Greek gods themselves chose it. The rooms are large, elegant, and simply beautiful. The swimming pool is magnificent, and the breakfast was delicious! I've stayed at many amazing places, but this is definitely in my top three. If you're looking for peace and quiet yet want to be close to Sitia center, this is the place to stay. I can't praise it enough; it's truly incredible. Thank you so much, and we'll definitely be back again.

Reading the current reviews I’m surprised and amazed at the transition from dreadful to wonderful in less than twelve months. Our experience was less than delightful we booked for two nights stayed one and that was too long. The only saving grace was that many of the original staff prior to the last closure had returned who were without exception were delightful.

What a beautiful retreat! This was such an amazing place with wonderful staff. Everything was gorgeous, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was incredible. Watching the sunset with a glass of wine at dinner was my favorite part of my Greece trip so far. I’m in love with the place and can’t wait to come back. I will recommend it to my family and friends

Disaster... We had a terrible week in this zoo hotel with dirty rooms full of with unwanted insects (cockroaches) The rooms are very badly maintained and the whole isolated poorly made place down there is just a joke for some unlucky guys that have no other choice but stay there with the animals…
