We stayed at Saruni Rhino as part of our safari honeymoon and absolutely loved the place. Friendly staff including the manager Martin, waitress Rose, chef Steven and game driver Jimmy. The food was amazing, the accommodation was as luxury as you can get in the wild and everyone was so knowledgeable and couldn't do enough for you. We were very lucky in getting to see all the animals including the black rhino and would recommend this place to anyone. As soon as we sat down to enjoy our first meal the elephants appeared at the watering hole and it was magical. There is flexibility to do game drives, Bush walks, visit the elephant sanctuary (retiti) and see the local villages. If you plan of visiting a local village/school, I would recommend bringing any supplies for them including books, pens, crayons, balls, sanitary products and any small toys etc as they were gratefully received. The staff and location made it the perfect start to our honeymoon.

Beautiful resort and wonderful staff. Excellent place close to the rhino conservatory! Animals were viewable from our patio! Small and very intimate camp. They learned our whole family names and were all amazingly friendly .

An unforgettable experience. The landscape is stunning the people are even more so. The Samburu are some of the loveliest people I've ever met. Special mention to Robert, and Simon. Amazing human beings. So kind and keen to offer a deep insight into their fascinating way of life. also doing their utmost to make us feel safe. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, as is the rest of the camp. The chef is amazing, we were very impressed with the food. We saw black Rhinos.... mating. Which was unbelievable. We also saw many elephants, giraffes, Kudu and many other animals. We found the trip to the Samburu village very powerful also. I'd advise anyone to make this trip. A once in a lifetime experience

The only location in East Africa for rhino tracking! Yes, on foot. Few activities will raise your adrenaline than getting into the African Bush in search of rhinos under the guidance of Jummy, one of the knowledgeable rhinobtracking guides.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. We had tears in our eyes leaving this wonderful camp. Truly one of the best I have ever stayed at across multiple luxury camps in Kenya and Tanzania. The staff is absolutely incredible. Everyone is so caring, kind, and open to sharing about their culture and experiences. Jimmy, our guide, led multiple fantastic bush walks full of wildlife as well as game drives and rhino trekking. Sera conservancy is beautifully remote and untouched and Jimmy knows it like the back of his hand. Could not have asked for anyone better. Our incredible waitresses, Lizzy and Naai, took such amazing care of us throughout our stay. Their passion, kindness and drive made such a difference in our experience and we can’t wait to see Lizzy become a manager one day :). The rest of the camp staff (special shoutout to Martin and Jack) were perfectly attentive, informative, and made us feel pampered and part of the Saruni family throughout our entire stay! The rooms were exquisite, the food was delicious (thanks Steven and Edwin) and the experiences we had could not have been better. Complete with amazing sundowner spots, a beautiful candlelit dinner on the dry river bed, a traditional village visit, and samburu dancing. Watching elephants play in the watering hole during lunch and dinner is such a treat as well. This is a place that I will never forget and am eternally grateful to have hosted. If you are considering staying here, do not hesitate to book this place! You will not regret it, it is a truly magical and life changing camp!

Candidly, I don't even know where to start on this review because absolutely every detail was perfectly executed! Incredible surprises presented when least expected... so much so, I'm still stunned when I ponder it all. From an incredible welcome with cool eucalyptus towels to refresh our necks & hibiscus refreshments... we were truly spoiled at every turn!! Our guide, Jimmy was invaluable... he made sure we felt safe, and that we had all we needed. We were treated to a 'Happy Anniversary' message on our bed upon arrival to our room. It was such a special touch... one I'll never forget! Our Banda was roomy & beyond comfortable... with rustic decor that represented the place well. After 3 days/nights spent here, it'll be near impossible for any other camp to exceed our expectations! Martin, the manager, as well as Lizzy & Naai, took care of us so well. This is such a unique place in a most unique setting! Loved our time here, and we weren't ready to leave.

Saruni Rhino was the reason for our trip to Kenya. We had long been interested in rhino tracking on foot and the April 2025 article in National Geographic led us there. Many thanks especially to Johnson, Florence and Joseph, we had an amazing experience. And while we went for the rhinos, we also fell in love with the elephants. We were lucky to unexpectedly track them on foot as well on a guided walk!

It was our first camp on our roundtrip. The view from the house is really wonderful, especially to watch the elephants bathing in short distance! (natural television) The room/house with its big terasse was beautiful! We did a 5star-massage there and our waiter was sharing his culture with us. We loved it. Sooo heartwarming people around us. Thank you soooooo much!

we were absolutely surprised at this cute little setting in the midst of nowhere. Every staff member is super kind, nice and friendly. Our driver/guide, Jimmy was very friendly and went extra way to show us a white Rhino :-) We had a wonderful time at the Sundowner learning about the Samburu culture. Our meal attendant, Rose was a very kind and caring too. Besides the White Rhino, we loved the Singing wells- its absolutely mind boggling to see millions to birds coming at the same time day after day. Similarly, it was equally amazing to watch thousands to goats coming for water. A big THANK YOU to everyone at Saruni Rhino!!
