Stay Kerikeri

Well appointed rooms, very comfortable, close walk to shops and restaurants and importantly the supermarket, hosts are very welcoming and easy going, they were very happy to help with recommendations and sharing their knowledge. Would stay again.

Just returned home after having two nights at 'Stay' and loved it. The rooms and grounds are so well presented. Thankful to receive upgrade . Very spacious and well equipped apartment. Beds/pillows were excellent The owner was super welcoming showing us to the room and providing info re where to dine. Would gladly rebook when visiting Kerikeri

so amazing, iam so knackered after a very long drive and working, just so nice to have a beautiful clean and comfortable but oh so stylish place to stay… would highly recommend to absolutely anyone… my new place to stay when coming north for work.. so welcoming & helpful.. . #goldstar

We stayed as a family (2 adults, 2 teenagers) in a 2 bedroom unit. First, what we didn't like: I thought it would have been a little larger going by previous reviews. The lounge had a 2 seater couch and a big chair but one of us had to sit on a kitchen chair to watch tv which was not that comfortable. It was a bit of a squash for 4 of us. The mattress of the queen bed in our room had seen better days. It was quite thin as far as comfort goes. The fridge was tiny and if we put anything in the door storage, it fell out when we opened the fridge. The unit looked out to trees and bushes so there was privacy but there was a really bad smell coming from the garden. I understand they recycle the wastewater. What we liked: It was very quiet at night which was a plus and the unit was serviced every day with new towels etc. The bedrooms were spacious enough and the whole unit was clean. I wouldn't stay here again though as there were too many negatives and when we arrived the owner just seemed obviously eager to get our money as if they were afraid we were going to hop back in the car and leave again!

Due to the weather, we had to change the date of our visit to the Bay of Islands. At very short notice, Paula supplied three apartments for a night for my family. They were clean and comfortable. The real bonus was Paula herself. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Despite the miserable weather, Paula was a ray of sunshine. I would happily visit again if Paula were still there !

I loved everything about my stay at Stay Kerikeri, wonderful hosts, beautiful room, fabulous location and comfortable bed (and pillows). It was so good to be able to jump into the pool at the end of a long day. I hope to get back one day!
