The Cabana Inn Key West - Adult Exclusive

I usually do not like leaving bad reviews, but honestly this hotel is far too expensive for what it offers. The attitude feels pretentious from the moment you arrive. Barely a smile at check-in, and instead of feeling welcomed, you mainly get a list of rules: • no room cleaning, • no proper parking, • “go park in the public parking” without really explaining where. The room was also not the one I booked. It was much smaller and looked nothing like the photos. The hotel is very noisy. The curtains are not blackout at all, so forget about taking a nap during the day. At night, outside lights come directly into the room, so if you are sensitive to light while sleeping, avoid this place. The pool and outdoor area look cute at first, but overall the property feels poorly maintained and not very clean. The staff was also not particularly helpful or welcoming. Key West itself is beautiful and very charming, but unfortunately this hotel was definitely not the highlight of the trip. I would not return.

Inn had the feel of old Key West and location was great. Our room was small and the only furniture was a queen bed, two kitchen chairs and a nightstand. No room to put clothes other than leave them in the suitcase on the floor. The bathroom was even smaller. TV and internet service was spotty. The slat on one of the blinds had a piece missing. We were charged an extra $180 for booking through Trip.com. Definitely not worth the price.

Before we arrived, we called to verify our reservations. Morgan at the reception office was very helpful and friendly. Our room was small, but it was fine for the two of us. We were barely there anyway. The room was clean and every member of the staff was so nice. The breakfast was adequate and the wine and cheese happy hour was a nice touch. For being only a half block away from Duval Street, we never heard any noise or activity. It was a quaint little spot that worked for us.

Very helpful and courteous staff. They made the available travel resources easy to access with personal guidance.

The property is too old. No elevator to the 3rd floor. No free parking for hotel guest. I have to pay extra for parking. No phone in the room. The TV is outdated. We have to find someone to get wi-fi for the TV. The girl employee was kind of useless.

The property was perfect for a solo traveler. The grounds and common areas were kept tidy, the evening and morning gatherings were exceptional. There was always a staff member near by to accommodate any request. Room was much larger than I expected and the in-room amenities were a bonus. Felt very safe, comfortable and welcome the entire stay.

The staff was attentive and professional. Our room was clean. The hotel was in close proximity to all Key West points of interest. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, waffles cereal toast etc. The Starbuck's coffee machine was wonderful to have on the premises. The happy hour was great, wine and snacks every day at 5:00.
