Chen～～Even though the Avani Khon Kaen Hotel has been open for years, the overall facilities and service don't feel old or dated at all; my experience exceeded expectations! I pre-booked the airport transfer service over the phone, which was paid but reasonably priced. Upon arrival, the staff proactively helped me take my luggage to my room. The elevator requires a key card to reach your floor, ensuring maximum privacy and security.
There aren't many commercial areas around the hotel, making for a quiet and peaceful environment, but the internal dining options are incredibly diverse. The breakfast selection was perfectly suited to my taste, offering a wide variety of local Northeastern Thai Khon Kaen specialties. The outdoor pool area is very relaxing, perfect for unwinding during downtime.
This stay, I was assigned a city view room, and I'm a little bit disappointed I didn't get to experience one of the popular lake view rooms. Whether you're traveling with family, on a business trip, or just for a short getaway, this hotel is perfectly suited for all, and I highly recommend it overall!
Just across the alley, there's also a great coffee shop called Coffee 34, which was my favorite spot during university – it's truly a decade-old establishment.

Soul HilalThe hotel was generally good, and the staff were very kind and helpful. I asked the hotel to prepare an anniversary decoration in the room, which I paid for, and the decoration was lovely.
However, after we removed the flowers from the bed, we discovered that the flowers had stained the bedsheet. We informed the front desk immediately. Since the decoration had been arranged by the hotel staff, we were surprised when we were told we would be charged for the stain.
At first, we were told the charge would be 800 THB, but it was later reduced to 250 THB for the washing service.
My recommendation to the hotel is to inform guests in advance if there is any risk that the decoration materials may stain the bedsheets or cause additional charges. This would help avoid misunderstandings and prevent guests from feeling upset about unexpected fees.

ThenayzerThe room was a very good size, with comfortable beds and pillows, and it was exceptionally clean.
However, the soundproofing was very poor. We could clearly hear guests in the room above us walking around and repeatedly opening and closing doors. We were also able to hear loud conversations from the room next door until around 2:30 a.m.
As a result, we had difficulty sleeping during our stay. One of the main reasons for staying at a hotel while on vacation is to get a good night’s rest, and unfortunately this hotel fell short in that very important aspect.

Guest UserPersonally, I think this price for this kind of room is really good value for money. However, if you're particular about old rooms and old furniture, you might not like it. But for me, it wasn't an issue because the price was super cheap. It has air conditioning, food is available, and there's an extra fan. There's a water heater, but no fridge. The bathroom clearly separates the dry and wet zones. My only complaint is that mosquitoes somehow get into the room, and I'm not sure how.

This was a stopover for us and absolutely met all of our criteria. Great parking next to the cottage. Clean and spacious cottage with very comfy bed. Very tricky to find as Google wanted to take us to another Greenview resort in Maha Sarakam so spent 30 minutes finding the resort. Dog friendly. TV was hard to get going (and there is nothing else to do at the resort)...in fact we were told the entire TV system resort wide was broken (which wasn't the case but you have to go through the Source option to align with the minix box). For food...you have to use Grab who will deliver direct to your cottage. All in a very pleasant stay and I would use as a stopover or for the nearby golf course in the future for sure.

The hotel is clean enough, had a lovely view of the lake and the beds were comfy, air con worked, and it was decent basic accommodation. The wardrobe doors were broken and the drains smelt from the bathroom, which wasn't the nicest. To be honest the whole place could do with a facelift and a lick of paint but the room we had was spacious and its cheap, simple accommodation. The rooftop is actually very lovely, with views out over the lake and the city. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on that. The staff were friendly with no frills, and we all did our best to communicate with English/Thai barrier.
