we had a lovely day at the old bank townhouse. The rooms were well appointed, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious and plentiful, and the staff was extremely attentive. Our daughter left her cosmetic bag at the hotel, and they went out of their way to deliver it to us in Killarney two hours away. This is an absolute must place to stay if you’re visiting Kinzel. Wonderful location, situated across from the water and easy access to all the wonderful restaurants.

Most of these reviews are either friends of Jude's, paid for, or easy to please. Stayed two nights. No on-site staff, janky doors, inconsistent quality across rooms, and to top it off, the power went out. Would not recommend at all.

We stayed at the Old Bank Townhouse for two nights in a corner king room. It was very spacious and had a nice, upgraded bathroom. There isn't air conditioning, but the windows were open and had a nice breeze. They also provided a large Dyson fan, which more than accommodated our needs. The location is perfect and while it's not a full-service hotel, you can easily reach people and arrangements are in place to have breakfast at the lovely cafe on the first floor. The staff was very friendly and plenty to choose from to eat.

We stayed two nights in two rooms. Room 3 was spacious, Room 16 on the top floor much smaller. Both were badly in need of a makeover. Arrived just after 5pm and had to go to the Blue Haven up the road to check in. Despite the description saying rooms have a safe and refrigerator only one room had a safe and it didn't work, neither room had a fridge. When I enquired about a fridge one was delivered. It barely worked. Staff really try hard to make the best of the place but it has clearly seen better days. Breakfast is available from 8am, if you want it earlier you go to the Blue Haven, which we did. Breakfast there was excellent. Security seems lax, someone was trying the doors after midnight. Very unsettling. Definately not 4 star quality and very over priced. A classic case of over promising and under delivering.

Bed was uncomfortable, bathroom was outdated, hot water faucet loose and no one bothered to fix it, no lobby or sitting area, elevator not signed on ground floor and only learn of it after you lug suitcases up a flight. Breakfast was top notch, however.

Most disgusting hotel I have ever been to. No refurbishment the last 20 years(?), lots of pigeons and other things outside the room, terrible condition, 343 euro for this room is fraud. Terrible disgusting place. To call this four stars is ridiculous, it should have been closed.

Jude was incredibly welcoming and so helpful when we arrived. We really appreciated her kindness with sorting out car parking. Great hotel, very clean, fabulous service. Delicious breakfast with a great choice, fresh ingredients , beautifully cooked. Recommend.
