It is Perfect hotel for traveller who are on road bewteen Reykjavik & Vik, even if going to Skatafell. It is located on calm and peaceful position and gave me very comfortable mood who are tired. More amazing is, their good restrarurant.!!!!! In the morning, serve free breakfast. It is already good. But in the evening, you can enjoy fastastic buffet with acceptable price. And they gave me very kind service with real smile. There are small road to reach lake by 5~10 min walking. When I walked, a lovely dog from hotel follows me and to try excising with him. It also one of very happy expereince. Lake sightseeing is also very good. If someone asks me to stay again, "Sure. Absolutely."

The hotel has 2 floors, with an elevator. The room is clean and tidy. There is a sofa for two people, which gives people a feeling of living in a small nest. You can go out to enjoy the scenery on the window sill. The water in the shower is hot enough and the water power is strong enough. The basic breakfast, there is Sausages, scrambled eggs, bread, cheese, bananas, grapefruit, etc...

There are relatively few hotels in the town, so this is a good choice.

I booked a standard room for the first night. It was really nice. It had floor-to-ceiling windows that went directly to the outdoors. There was an elevator and the facilities were new. We had no room for the second night and changed to an economy room. Everything was much worse. This is why the reviews of this hotel are polarized.

The location of the hotel is a bit biased, and there is no supporting facilities around. But the scenery is good, in the national park. The room configuration is relatively simple, and the curtains use roller blinds. Some rooms use floor-to-ceiling curtains. Probably we booked a cheap room, and the configuration was almost there.

So-so hotel. The entrance looked like we were driving into Jurassic Park. The elevator was broken. The outside area was covered with ice and snow and my wife slipped and hurt her elbow pretty badly. At least it was mostly quiet, except for the people walking past our ground level window.

Beautiful family-owned property just minutes on the outskirts of the village Kirkjubaejarklauster. Lovely rooftop setup with a glass room for the windy nights, to view the auroras from. The bar and restaurant on site are a little pricey but are delicious. The majority of the staff was accommodating but not overly friendly or inviting. Lovely place to visit if you like your alone time though!

Hotel Laki might not be the newest hotel in the area, but they make up for it in character, kindness, and comfort! Our room was clean and cozily appointed - it felt like home! The restaurant was wonderful and the staff were warm and welcoming. I highly recommend adding Hotel Laki to your itinerary!

Property was clean and safe. In a beautiful area on our road trip. Staff were kind and helpful.

Great stay. Wonderful breakfast. Would stay here again. About one hour drive to diamond beach.
