"My first Ryokan experience and it was great. Beautiful interior, good location to walk some parts of the Nakasendo trail, lovely traditional Japanese food, nice onsen and very kind people. They do their utmost to make you feel comfortable. The hotel has been owned by the same family for ages. Highly recommended."

"Not knowing what exactly I had booked, I was thoroughly impressed with what we got at the end of our hike. What the hotel offered for hikers is absolutely perfect. The dinner and breakfast buffet were amazing. There was definitely enough food to keep us satisfied. The buffet trolleys were a fantastic addition. Size of room was great and loved the configuration. Choosing our own yukata was fun. I didn’t use the onsen but happy they had massage chairs on offer as an alternative."

"room cleaning There are non-smoking rooms Reasonable price There is a bath/soup available free parking The only drawback is that the vibration in the computer room is so strong that it wakes me up in the middle of the night. I can't hear the sound in the computer room, but I can feel the frequency of the vibration when I put my ear against the pillow, so I don't sleep well."

"This place is amazing! It was quiet, clean, and comfortable with an amazing Japanese public bath! The staff is very helpful, speaks English and the hotel is located in a beautiful valley with rivers and forests!! The hotel has a restaurant, massage chairs, microwave, machines for drinks, etc. We will come back!!"

"You need a car to access the place but we walk and made it ! The hotel offered us the shuttle to the bus stop the next day. Food was goid but not enough after a full day hiking. Very clean and comfortable"

"The property is located just opposite the train station. We arrived at 9:30 am, did the check-in procedure, and then left luggage there so that we were luggage-free when we went on hiking on one of the section of the Nakasendo. We did not have to explain, the host simply accepted our luggage gracefully. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. The host and staff were very polite and helpful. Some of the staff spoke very good English and explained to us the different types of sauces for each dish. I think the facilities could be made better with some simple adjustments. The room was a bit small, we knew that when we made booking. However, I think the room could be more roomly if not so many furnitures were put in the room. The public bath room was small. If someone is having a shower, the water could easily splash into the bath water and persons sitting in the bath. I suggest the host to change the male and female baths into 2 private baths, allowing prior booking each time for 40 min. Booking can easily be done by self-service. With these minor adjustments, the stay could be more enjoyable."
