This was my first trip to Kyushu, and I started in Kokura. I was tired from traveling, so I picked the hotel closest to the station. It was clean and tidy, right above the station. The view from the window was great, and there's a mall downstairs. Across the street, there's a shopping arcade mostly filled with izakayas. I probably booked a bit late, as the price was significantly higher than when I checked last month. Overall, I'm satisfied.

This is my third stay, and I'm very satisfied! The location is absolutely fantastic, right above Kokura Station, with direct access from the station concourse to the hotel – so convenient. **Facilities:** It's a standard JR single room setup, but significantly larger than the rooms at JR Shikoku. They also provide a good range of amenities. **Environment:** It feels very quiet, and it's pleasant no matter which direction your room faces. The breakfast is a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. The variety of dishes is genuinely much richer, and they even make omelets to order. However, take my advice and avoid the Grape mixed fruit juice; it's too bitter.

On November 11th, at 9:10 AM in the breakfast restaurant, a server dropped a huge stack of plates on the floor. Incredibly, they picked them up from the ground. One server took them back to the kitchen, while another, whose name tag I couldn't clearly read (something like 'Shirai' or 'Jing'), directly placed them back on the clean plates in the waiting area. This is incredibly unhygienic, and at the time, no one stopped them. Is this how this hotel trains and manages its staff?

It was super convenient for my husband and I as we were taking a break in the middle of our journey from Osaka to Oita. Just a couple minutes walk from the train station. It is more spacious than most hotels in major cities. And it is also within walking distance to restaurants and major attractions in Kokura. And they also provide a self-service luggage storage. We will stay here again if we ever need to transit through Kokura.
