The booking showed two beds, but it was actually one 90cm bed with an additional pull-out bed underneath, which was great for pushing together to make more space. My 28-inch suitcase had to be opened in the hallway by the door. The bathroom was excellent, with a shower and a large bathtub, which was a huge plus.

Excellent value for money! Fukuoka was too expensive on Saturday, and we were planning to go to Karato Market anyway, so we decided to stay here for a night. It saved us ¥1000 on accommodation! In the evening, we went up Mount Sarakura to see the night view. Shin-Shin Ramen was also on our must-try list. It seems to be super popular in Fukuoka, but the taste was just okay. Definitely recommend this hotel for staying in Kokura!

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel!! The staff were very friendly and polite staff. I was especially impressed when they greeted and bowed at me every time when I took the lift and it opened on the reception floor!! I felt special. The double room I stayed was spacious with a massage chair! Never had I expected to find it in a hotel in the urban area of Japan. What was more impressive was that the hotel offered a variety of pillows upon request, including neck pillow which was similar to the one I used at home. I was pleasantly surprised to know that the Roynet hotel chain offered this service. It was very useful and I had very good sleeps for the two nights I stayed! The air conditioning in the room was just right. It was quiet throughout the night and morning. I was grateful for that. In addition, I must compliment the female staff who was in charged of the car park service of the hotel. She was very nice and friendly. It was also my first time encountering automatic mechanic parking in Japan - very convenient! Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kokura. This hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed in Japan!

The location is super convenient, just 400 meters from the train station. There are plenty of food and drink options nearby, and Kokura Castle is less than a 10-minute walk away. It's also much more affordable than Fukuoka, so staying in Kokura offers great value for money.
