Stayed at Hotel Livemax Kokura Ekimae and loved how convenient it was — right next to the train station yet surprisingly quiet. The room has all the basic amenities you need, plus a microwave and kettle in the room which was super handy. Room size is just right for travelers with a small cabin luggage, clean and functional. Perfect for a short stay in Kokura!

Check in must be exactly after 3pm, not even a minute early. Everything is transactional and impersonal such as not responsible for your luggage left at hotel after checked out. Although human receptionists are there but only direct guests to use machines to check in and out

Access was very good, right next to Kokura station.
Too close to the station, the trains were noisy at night and early in the morning.
Rooms have minimal amenities.
No bottled water.No parking.

very clean, and close to the station. No free bottle of water but water machine is available at the entrance. Cleaning everyday.

I am more than satisfied for my two-night stay at Hotel LiVEMAX Kokura. Not only does it have an excellent location (right next to Kokura Station), it is equipped with a microwave in each individual room. The room is clean, spacious, and bright. I cannot ask for more as it is truly a value for money hotel. If I ever visit Japan again, I will definitely put Hotel LiVEMAX first on my list.
