"Hotel Reference Kokura Ekimae Stay Review 📍 Location It is located about a 5-10 minute walk from Kokura Station, so accessibility is excellent. The route is not difficult, so even first-time visitors can find it easily. Although the surrounding area is bustling, it is set back from the entertainment district, making it relatively quiet and safe. I was a bit surprised by the unique Japanese nightlife atmosphere when I went to a nearby alley to eat Okonomiyaki at night, but the area around the accommodation had almost none of that vibe, so I could walk around with peace of mind. 🌤 View The view was truly wonderful. There aren't many tall buildings nearby, so the view is wide open, and the blue sky visible through the window was impressive. It was a view that lifted my spirits when I opened the curtains in the morning. 🛗 Elevator There are two elevators, so getting around wasn't a major inconvenience. 🥪 Breakfast The breakfast was also satisfying. You can order for free from the cafe next door; the staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious. There were menu items like sandwiches with rice, so I ordered and tried several different kinds, and overall, I was satisfied. 🛏 Room For a Japanese hotel, the room is quite spacious. Even though two of us each used a large bed, there was still plenty of room, and we could spread our suitcases out on the floor without any inconvenience. There was ample space and hangers for clothes, and with air fresheners and an air purifier provided, we were able to stay comfortably. 👍 Additional Pros Various amenities such as toothbrushes, shower towels, razors, and hair ties were placed next to the front desk, making it convenient to freely take as much as needed. Also, I was very satisfied that even without requesting room cleaning, used towels were replaced with fresh ones if hung outside the door. 👎 Cons While luggage storage is available before check-in or after check-out, there is a fee of 500 yen per suitcase. Since many hotels offer free storage services, this felt a bit disappointing. Overall, the location, room size, view, and breakfast were all satisfactory, making it a great value accommodation. If I visit Kokura again, I would definitely stay here again."

It was well-equipped with necessities like an air purifier, hair dryer, and teapot. It was close to Nishikokura Station and a great place for a stroll around Kokura Castle and the surrounding park. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling in the area."

"The room was small, and the bed was a bit small too. But it was enough, and the price was good. Compared to other Toyoko Inns, the location wasn't great; the convenience store was a block away. So I'd recommend the other two. I came here to watch the WTT game. The breakfast was very average… you can skip it if you have a choice. Eating this every day definitely won't make you fat."
