KNGHGreat stay at JR Kyushu Station Hotel Kokura! The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location is excellent, right above JR Kokura Station, with shopping centres and plenty of eateries nearby. Kokura Castle is also within walking distance.
The complimentary lounge with free drinks and light snacks was a nice bonus and a great place to relax after a day out.

Guest UserThis is an absolutely wonderful hotel!! The staff were very friendly and polite staff. I was especially impressed when they greeted and bowed at me every time when I took the lift and it opened on the reception floor!! I felt special.
The double room I stayed was spacious with a massage chair! Never had I expected to find it in a hotel in the urban area of Japan. What was more impressive was that the hotel offered a variety of pillows upon request, including neck pillow which was similar to the one I used at home. I was pleasantly surprised to know that the Roynet hotel chain offered this service. It was very useful and I had very good sleeps for the two nights I stayed! The air conditioning in the room was just right. It was quiet throughout the night and morning. I was grateful for that.
In addition, I must compliment the female staff who was in charged of the car park service of the hotel. She was very nice and friendly. It was also my first time encountering automatic mechanic parking in Japan - very convenient!
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kokura. This hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed in Japan!

JaniceTotoroI loved this hotel when I first saw it, it’s exactly like it’s advertised, there is a whole shelves of comics in the lobby and you can bring them to your room and read ! The breakfast is also very thoughtful and delicious! I booked this place because I want to visit Mojiko and Shimonoseki, not to mention personally I think Kokura has better shopping experience than Hakata, with lesser tourists and you can get the items that are always out of stock in other big city! One negative side during Friday night there are a lot of drunk people walking like zombie around the station 😸 and I got slightly lost to get back to the hotel at night, the front desk staff is helpful and friendly.

헤수스Perfect if you have an early flight in the morning. The hotel is just 5-8 min walking from the airport. The staff was very polite and really helfull, they speak japanese, english and korean. For breakfast you get different options of rice; bread, fish, etc. If you don't want to eat in the dinning area, you can bring the food to your room. Also, you can always walk to the airport and get food and drinks at the convenience store. Keep in mind there is nothing besides the airport and the hotel, so don't expect much. This is perfect to rest before or after a flight.

Windgun14Although the facility is relatively old, it is located close to Kokura Station and the service is good. If you don't want to take the key with you every time, you can leave it at the front desk and pick it up every time you come back, which is very convenient.

This hotel locates near by the Kokura train station makes it one of the most convenient hotel I have ever lived.
Unfortunately I could only reserve a smoking room, but the smell was not too strong to clear out by some splash. I would suggest the manager to inform smoking customers not to smoke in the bathroom, in order to avoid the smoke on the shower curtain.
And the services are pretty good provided by kind stuff with multiple language skills. There is even a snack and drink corner 24 hours on first floor.
The only deficit of this hotel might be the sound proof of the top floor, 6th floor I lived. The sound could not penetrate through rooms, but there were multiple huge machines on the top of the room running through day and night and generated big noises. During the last night I lived, one of the noises was similar with the sound of unlocking the door, so I couldn' t sleep well because I felt like somebody was unlocking the door.

Guest UserFukuoka was too expensive for a weekend trip, so we booked in Kokura instead. It's a self-service apartment. Pre-registering online definitely saved a lot of time during check-in. The room wasn't particularly clean. Maybe it's not having white walls, but the interior colors felt a bit depressing. There were water stains on the coffee table. It was fine for a layover stay, I guess. Overall, the price was the main selling point.

Thomas_ZacThe Hotel is located very close to the Wakamatsu Railway station. The area around the hotel is a very quiet area with few shops around. I arrived the hotel at around 2200 and by then all the shops around was closed. I managed to find a family mart near the station and for dinner i went to Sukiya which I understand is open till 3 AM. The staff was very courteous and the checking in process was seamless. The rooms were small and very similar to other Japanese hotel rooms. The bedding was clean and neat and the linens were nicely tucked in. Since the air conditioning units remote was in Japanese language , had bit of a trouble in getting the AC started. However this was immediately resolved by the staff at the front desk and the AC cooling was very good. The toilet was small and was similar to other Japanese hotels. The supplies in the toilet was nice and adequate.
The Morning breakfast spread was nice with western and Japanese cuisine and the food quality and taste was very good. I will definitely recommend Route Inn to all business travelers travelling to Wakamatsu / Hibiki Nada Area

It was lovely to be able to relax in the hot spring while enjoying the sea view. The weather was cloudy so we couldn't see the stars, but I'm sure it would have been beautiful if it were clear. The food, especially the seafood, was excellent, probably because of the hotel's proximity to the ocean. I also really appreciated the late-night ramen service.
