Our stay at St. James of Knysna was excellent. The hotel offers incredible views of the Knysna Heads, a great location, and a peaceful atmosphere by the lagoon. We loved the complimentary boat cruise, which was a special touch — and Alex, the skipper, was the best: skilled, friendly, and fun. The welcome drinks and the delicious breakfast also made the experience even better. Even during a municipal water issue in the city, the team went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and supported. Elijah was wonderful, Norman was very committed, and Sandy took care of every detail with attention and care. A calm, elegant place with excellent service. We would definitely return.

Superb . The staff is friendly and efficient. The location is very convenient. The view of the Lagoon is the best and a free Boat ride. The Breakfast was good.

This was our second visit to St James of Knysna and it was as lovely as the previous time. There was a warm welcome on arrival with drinks and a tour of the hotel and facilities. There is a lovely bar/lounge that opens out with views of the estuary and lots of comfortable seating. Our room was beautiful with great views and everything you needed for your stay. Excellent breakfast and good light meal menu. Loved the gym - very thoughtfully kitted out. The hotel now offer a complementary car service to the waterfront which was great. Staff are brilliant too.

WE had the luck that we could stay four nights in this fantastic hotel. The location of the hotel directly at the lagoon is extraordinary. The view from the balcony of our room ofer the lagoon was amaizing. The hosptiality was great. The staff always very helpful and super friendly. We felt better than home ;-) This will be dfeinetly our stay when we come back to Knysna

Looking out onto the lagoon at Knysna, this hotel is in the perfect location. Breakfast is served on a terrace overlooking the lagoon and the food menu for room service is beautifully prepared too. A 5 min car drive into town and 15 mins away from Brenton on Sea. The boat ride which is included is a lovely opportunity to see other parts of the lagoon and the picnic provided was superb. All the staff were friendly and the atmosphere is quiet and calming throughout. We booked room 18 and be aware that this rooms views are not as good as other lake view rooms. It also has bad light pollution from the courtyard below which is lit throughout the night and poor quality curtains. This made sleeping quite difficult without an eye mask. However Sandy was able to offer us another room for some of our stay which made it much better. This room 18, although big, should not be at the same rate as others with better views in my opinion. Would I stay here again, absolutely but not in room 18

Lovely place. Everybody is so nice and helpful. Love the complementary boat tour! Some nice restaurants nearby (butterfly blue) Location is great, although you need a car or uber for sightseeing or going out to a restaurant.
